God did not kill those people. He did not stop the evil woman from carrying out her own evil free will.

One day, in His timing, He WILL put a stop to sin. Until then, we are still responsible. Don’t blame Him for what He did not do.

No blame on God. God, according to His good will, gave Sin the authority to kill His children. God did this for a good purpose that we cannot yet understand.

Question, who pays for the Narcan you use to revive drug addicts?
We receive income from:
  • County Fire Tax money from farms/land/homes in our district: ~$30,000 annually
  • Fundraisers: ~$10,000 annually
  • Grants vary drastically from year to year, but average about ~$70,000/yr between the Feds, State and Businesses
From that combined income we budget for all sorts of stuff, including Narcan.

I’m not an advocate of spending both time & money reviving drug addicted people.

Most of the drug addicts here aren't inherently bad people, they're just depressed. They've made a series of very dumb decisions caused in part by the depressing economy since the 90s when Reagan's NAFTA sucked out almost all jobs, and the open border in Mexico that is allowing Meth and Fentanyl to flow in here nonstop.

Plus most of these people are kin, and if they're not kin then they're friends of kin or neighbors, and ultimately the drug addicts are folk's father, mother, son or daughter.

The median household income in the two zipcodes we cover is $30,000 and $40,000. That's combined for a wife and husband both working, with children, having to live off 30k to 40k.

The NAFTA talks began in 1989 and signed into law early 90’s, after Reagan was out of office.

It does show compassion to save these people’s lives that are being consumed by drug addiction. Occasionally, you hear a wonderful story of redemption and know there is hope.

peace to you

Not the whole story without noting Reagan's vision for it.

NAFTA helped gut our manufacturing base, though deals with Communist China have been instrumental as well.

Both of these are avenues for illegal drugs coming into the US.

Right, NAFTA was not Reagan, rather it was a joint Bush Sr & Clinton initiative. Now I have no sympathy for idiots who put heroin into their bodies through lethal injection. And if they live in a depressed community (either economy and/or psychologically) then get busy moving.

Actually China benefitted the most and sometimes I wonder if it wasn’t a sinister plot to have it that way. Initially Bush Sr pitched NAFTA to my boss that moving manufacturing out of the USA to Mexico & Canada was good for business and the old dope was gullible to fall for it. This guy began liquidation of his US factories to Mexico, sent in engineering to supervise the light assembly and lost millions. See the Chinese were eating our lunch… if we made said product for $10.00 in Mexico the Chinese would make it for a $1.00. Eventually everything got transferred to China. So much for trusting the government.

Yes, there was plenty of foolishness at high levels, and deviousness as well. I had one company owner say he wouldn't vote for Bush because of NAFTA. Then once in, Clinton turned on a dime, embracing it like a hippie tree hugger.

As for embracing Communist China to the point of enriching it beyond measure while depleting the US, that is so boneheaded words cannot adequately express the disgust that deserves, especially not here. :Wink
