BIG Elvis fan, especially his gospel recordings...In the other So, what are you listening to? thread, it seems most folks focus primarily on Christian music, which is quite appropriate in the forum. I do not intend for this to be an inappropriate thread, and if any member goes too far off topic, or crosses the line of decency, I kindly ask the moderator(s) to close this thread. I personally consider crossing the line to include posting names of bands or songs that are indecent, or linking to youtube videos that contain explicit content not suitable for the family-friendly nature of this board.
Until that time, though, I'm curious what my fellow BB members listen to when not tuning in to the local Christian stations.
I'm a big fan of piano music and I love the works of Ludovico Einaudi and Helen Jane Long. Long worked with Howard Shore on the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. Einaudi has been in the composing game for quite a while. His work is often heard as background music on BBC's Top Gear.
Here's a sample of Einaudi's work:
Nuvole Bianche =Ancora =Stella del mattino =Giorni Dispari =Al Di La del Vetro =

Oddly enough, nowadays most of the music I listen to is on the computer -- Facebook and YouTube
Levon Helm is one of my favorites.
Levon Helm is one of my favorites.
That is interesting. I wanted to see him at the Ryman in 2012 but didn't get tickets...and he died a couple of weeks before the concert (I didn't realize how much his health had deteriorated until his documentary "I Ain't in it for My Health").I'm a huge fan of Levon Helm and The Band. Almost to the point of obsession.
Through a weird series of events, I ended up living next door to his sister in Delaware and I have an autographed drum head from him and Rick.
Interesting piece of trivia: Levon and Rick were so close in life that they made a pact to be buried together and they are. Buried next to one another in a little graveyard in Woodstock.

I like to listen to Country Music(Marty Robbins, Loretta Lynn, Kenny Rogers, Dottie West, Ray Price, Statler Brothers, Oak Ridge Boys, Alison Krauss, Chester Burton Atkins, Kathleen Alice Mattea), Easy Listening Music(James Thurston Nabors, Nat King Cole, Mills Brothers, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Engelbert Humperdinck, Hawaiian Music, 101 Strings Orchestra, Henry Mancini), Classical Music, Opera Music and the Gospel songs of Elvis Presley. In the other So, what are you listening to? thread, it seems most folks focus primarily on Christian music, which is quite appropriate in the forum.
