That's not the point. The point is this:

But why is that the 'likely' scenario? That's the main (flawed) assumption you're making.

It's likely only because you want it to be.

That's all I did in this thread, was point out the culpability of what in all likelihood is a numbskull mother who doesn't discipline her child.

How is the mother culpable for the actions of the man who should have simply walked walk away from the situation? It is completely irrelevant whether she does, or doesn't, discipline her child.
