Evangelism done with the word, in the Spirit, fully prepared, with the right heart, sacrificially, and consistently will bring in fruit.
Oh you hush or I'll smack you with our Apple II computer!! That thing will do some damage!
I'm going to go with his practical knowledge and years of experience. Don't be so snippy. So who made you the expert on this subject Mitchell?

Do you have something specific about my post that you take issue with? Have you ever seen any fruit in your personal evangelism? Have you had any people you led to the Lord then brought into the church and discipled? Do you just follow the commands of scripture or is your heart also broken for the lost? Do you like to see people come to know Jesus, or do you just reach at them and go home?
To answer your sophomoric question I am not an expert. God is and I just follow His word. How about you? Do you lead people to the Lord and disciple them? Are you obedient to all of the Great Commission or only the part you like and find easiest?
Yes, I would recommend you use some respect when addressing someone.
It concerns me if you ever get snippy with folks you hand tracts out to.
In the light of that post and your view, please interpret John 15:8 for me. In particular, what is "fruit" in John 15?Refer to an earlier post of mine in which I explain what it means to have success in evangelism.
I'll give it a try John.In the light of that post and your view, please interpret John 15:8 for me. In particular, what is "fruit" in John 15?
Very good, Hank, but I would differ somewhat. Hint: I do not equate the fruit of a disciple in John 15 with the fruit of the Spirit in Gal. 5. They are two different fruits.I'll give it a try John.
John 15
12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
The fruit of the Spirit is love (agape) ...
Agape love is essential in evangelism.
1 Corinthians 13 says that without it we are nothing.
John 15:13 shows what agape love produces - it is a love so great that one will lay down their life for their friends.
In effect missionaries lay down their lives before the altar in the Holy Place for the sake of mankind.
"Here am I, send me".

Well, at lest Evan is being consistent.I've asked evangelist 6589 this question twice, but he has so far ignored it. "
John, I was just thinking - Evan says he is a Calvinist - that is God chooses who will be saved.Check out v. 16 also: "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you."
With agape love souls (the fruit of the harvest) will be won.Very good, Hank, but I would differ somewhat. Hint: I do not equate the fruit of a disciple in John 15 with the fruit of the Spirit in Gal. 5. They are two different fruits.

You know, I've been wondering the same thing. If Evan is truly called to be an evangelist, perhaps we could expect some Philip-type activity.... Just sayin'.Well, at lest Evan is being consistent.
John, I was just thinking - Evan says he is a Calvinist - that is God chooses who will be saved.
and likewise - is V 16 saying the same thing- Maybe Evan has NOT been chosen to be an Evangelist.....
Still hoping Evan will answer. If he doesn't, I'll get back to you on this one. With agape love souls (the fruit of the harvest) will be won.
Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
