I think that they should shut down a couple of trolls on the board.
I wouldn't test that myself, as they may be forced to get rid of more than a few, lol. If there was a specific place for racial issues it might be an object lesson to those that seclude themse!lives to it.
God bless.
Here it is: create a section like you did for the Calvs/Arms for racial issues. The rest of the board strictly for political issues not involving race.
What do you think?
God bless.
This board has been in existance for years. These so called racial issues on popped up recently with the intrusion of a troll. This board should not make a special place for trolls.
Just put Zaac on ignore.
Why not? If they are trolls shouldn't they be restrained from open access as it is now? That might cut down on circular and repeated argument.
God bless.
So would ignoring his posts
Have you ever debated with a liberal who was good-natured?
So would ignoring his posts
I've done my part re: this, but Z still garners an awful of responses!
But you are correct; if everybody refused to accommodate his voracious appetite for controversy, he would just evaporate like fog when the sun rises.
He is only the 2nd I've ever put on ignore, but it has sure paid off!
I don't like to give up on people. How we approach everyone will be different and some will seem to be a lost cause, but our part might come under scrutiny as well.
I've never done that. Can you not see their posts?
God bless.
I don't understand why trolls should be tolerated. As for a special section, it would be a lot of work for nothing because only the liberals would go there and they could not get anyone's attention so they would invade the other threads.
Liberals when set off in their own sections flounder because their numbers are so small. I went through that experience 15 years ago before I came to this board.
Look, Belief Net is out there for liberals but liberals can't get along with anyone. One of the main problems facing liberals is that they do not comprehend theological doctrine and cannot debate it. They especially misrepresent Fundamentalism but they distort Evangelicalism as well. Have you ever debated with a liberal who was good-natured?
I think that I would be violating Scripture not to given up on some people that I cannot reach. I take that as a sign that God wants me to move on to other, perhaps more desperate cases. Some people choose hell and the second advent will prove that.
Titus 3:10 (KJV) A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
Of course.
Your implication is little different than liberal-minded people claiming that all conservatives are angry.
I don't take this verse as a reason to walk away from people.
We could negate our duty to restore a brother if we use it thus.
Would we give up on a father? Brother? Sister?
And who decides what is heresy? Does political position take precedence over soteriology? I've been called a heretic several times since I've been back. I'll be called a heretic when I return. I'll be called a heretic on the next forum I go to.
Am I? That will only be seen through doctrinal discussion.
And if your boss is the heretic? Would you reject him? Your wife?
Evangelism is work, and sometimes we have to grab the bull by the horns. And if its liberal bull...
...wear gloves.
Just consider whether there's a point where you can say "Okay, you want to be eternally separated from God, I'm okay with that."
There will be lost causes sometimes, but heresy doesn't involve being in error about politics, it centers on the Person of Christ.
God bless.
The whole world is in the lap of Satan and people are lost by the 100s of millions and you want to debate some troll for another 50 years? We have already had one troll for a year.
As for what constitutes orthodoxy in Christian belief, that has been settled for 2000 years and I don't have the slightest idea what you believe.
2 Timothy 3:4 (KJV) Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Here it is: create a section like you did for the Calvs/Arms for racial issues. The rest of the board strictly for political issues not involving race.

And that is why you will never accomplish anything useful in debate with your chosen enemies...because you judge people before you even know what they believe.
We have to know what our antagonist believes, and just as important, why they believe it...before we can speak with them.
Fifty years? You can look at the public record and see if your assumption is true.
But that's the major problem in most discussions between antagonists: assumption.
I would agree orthodoxy has remained consistent for two thousand years, I just reject the notion a particular group can be pointed at as having preserved it.
Only the Word of God has that consistency. Not a singular group.
And the errors of those groups is why most of us are here.
And please, if you're going to use the Word of God to insult someone, understand it won't work with me, lol.
God bless.
