Then I guess maybe I should perhaps start comparing some of these Bush bashers to Stalin or maybe Pol Pot. If this forum is going to become a name-calling, mud throwing venue, then I reckon I'll just throw mud, too. That'll really provide a great witness to unbelievers to see Christians throwing comparisons to Hitler and other bad folks around left and right.

Still, I am saddened that a Christian board even allows the president of the United States to be compared to Hitler.

</font>[/QUOTE]Nope, attacking other members of the BB is a violation of the rules. Expressing views about a political leader is not.

Bush is a wolf in sheep's clothing, the reason why you do not recognize him. I think he is evil and a habitual lier. Truth is being "thrown to the ground" and trampled on by antichrists in the world today in preparation for the Antichrist's arrival. The world is being deceived and misled down the path of destruction unaware of their fate. Think outside of the box, avoid the herd mentality and get informed.

http://www.endevil.com/Bushquotes.html

I copied several quotes, read all of them and see what a stooge our president is.

"If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator." George W Bush, CNN, 18th December 2000

"I am mindful not only of preserving executive powers for myself, but for predecessors as well." George W Bush, Washington, D.C., Jan. 29, 2001

"There ought to be limits to freedom. We're aware of this [web] site, and this guy is just a garbage man, that's all he is." George Jr., discussing a web site that parodies him

"I will never apologise for the United States of America - I don't care what the facts are." George W Bush at a press conference introducing the Coalition of American Nationalities, 2nd August 1988

"You're all going to hell." George W Bush joking about what he would say to Israeli Jews upon arriving in the Middle East in 1993, Austin-American Statesman, 1st December 1998

"Please...don't kill me!" George W Bush mocking what Karla Faye Tucker said when asked, just before her execution, 'What would you say to Governor Bush?' Talk, September 1999

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful - and so are we, they never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people - and neither do we." George W Bush at a Pentagon meeting, August 2004 (like 9-11)

"If Bush was like Hitler, millions of Iraqis civilians would be dead and no concern for civilians would be exercised"

People aren't always talking about whether or not masses were killed when they compare someone. Ideologies and techniques of garnering public support come into the picture too.

I am a Bush critic...just not when it comes to the war.

Understand. In that light please do not judge all who are critical of Bush's war effort on the basis of a few bashers.

I fear that sometimes comments are made purely and simply to get a response.

Bush actually said those things..now what is
debateable is the context and does he secretly
hold those things true. I think we have enabled
bush his entire life and he has never ever been
admonished or held accountable and now we have
a country that is floundering and divided.

The Karla Faye Tucker ordeal I found highly
offensive and if he had gone to my church I
would have privately admonished him.

I am no fan of George Bush - that is well known here. But it seems as though the entire politics forum has become the place to bash him instead of intellegently discuss his dealings with the issues.

It would be nice to get back to discussing issues and stop calling people names.

Think there is any chance of discussing what we like or do nor like about his policies?

I doubt it because there will always be attacking. It's the nature of politics. Even if you say what you don't like about his policies some people will think you are talking about him as a person. Kinda like those who think people that dont like something about America all of a sudden don't like anything about America.

To supporters of this war I ask:

What war in which America is involved would you NOT support? I find it troubling that fundamentalist christians are the strongest supporters of any war.
