Just saw it as well. Awesome!

Looking forward to vast swaths of red states/Christian-based America outlawing child murder lock, stock and barrel.

Thanks be to God for this, and thanks to Pres. Trump for appointing the justices that overturned that abomination.

"We end this opinion where we began. Abortion presents a profound moral question. The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each State from regulating or prohibiting abortion. Roe and Casey arrogated that authority. We now overrule those decisions and return that authority to the people and their elected representatives," Justice Samuel Alito wrote in the court's opinion.

Great news to be thankful to the Lord for

But why only in 26 of the 50 states?
A number of states already have laws restricting or outlawing abortion. Those laws kick in now that the SCOTUS overturned Roe v. Wade. Today's decision does not outlaw abortion, it remands the issue back to the states.

thanks for the update

this is because of the court’s conservative majority. which means when there is a majority of Liberals, it could be overturned again?

It looks like the US is 50 countries in one?

The states are now free to make laws governing abortion. This will result more citizen input in this issue.

peace to you

Which is what they wanted to take away when they pushed for Roe.
You are correct. It is a tactic of the radical left to not debate the merits of any issue, but rather demonize opposition and use the force of government to impose its will on fearful population.

peace to you

Each state in the U.S has the power to make laws on anything not enumerated to the Federal Government Constitution as per the 10th Amendment. The SCOTUS was reluctant to actually enforce the 10th Amendment until this ruling. So yes, each state has a high level of autonomy and each state has its own militia (National Guard) under the power of the Governor.

man, your country seems so confused and backwards! Here in England, which is made up of a number of Counties, when a Law is passed by the House of Parliament, it is for the entire country, even those "Counties" that might object to it! It is the Law of the WHOLE LAND, not parts of it!
