here is my day: cleaning, making meals, more cleaning! But it's 80 and really sunny, so I'm happy to do anything! This is my kind of weather! Have a great day.

We are having a heat wave this morning 25 degrees. oops, it just went down to 23 so much for the heat wave. Our wind chill is only 15 today.

I think we will head for warmer weather soon..........

Today is dentist day....routine cleaning is all I hope. I think they saw a small hole in an old, old filling last time. Dentist said no problem yet. I am so fortunate to have all my teeth.....

Muffin is going to the groomers. He has a wonderful thick coat for this type of weather.

Hope you all have a wonderful, warm day.

Hi Micah. Looking for a job can be exciting and depressing, can't it?

You can tell us more about what kind of job and we can pray that you find what you a looking for.

You live in a very large area....hopefully, you will find the job that is right for you.

Turn it over to our Lord. He will guide and direct you and what a wonderful attitude you have.

Good Morning, everyone! We are warming up here in Oklahoma 39 degrees this morning!!!

Trying to get back to a routine. Painting session today with friends. I'm thinking about inviting two other ladies to join us. I just have to be sure not to over extend myself with newbies. I will think of it as birds leaving the nest. I think my last new one is ready to fly on her own....paint on her own. ;)

I am trying to finish my nativity scene painting. It will be my Christmas Card for next year. Here is this year's

Christmas Greeting

This is slow loading so it may not load for you.
I don't know why it is so slow.

I have all but one box of Christmas decorations packed. I didn't know I had so many decorations.

Got to get ready for painting.

I'm waiting for everyone to check in and let us know how things are going with you.

It has been a nice relaxing day. I vaccumed but decided to wait on the dusting....My excuse...don't want to stir up my allergies. It is so dry here, but we need rain, not ice.

I went to the jewelry store to pick up my necklace that Ed gave me for Christmas. They did some work on the mounting.

Then on to the grocery store. I think I am actually saving money by buying from Schwann. I'm going to put it all on paper and see, but I only have to go to the grocery store about every two weeks or so now.

I've also been listening to Dave Ramsey on the Radio about finances and debt. I have never been good at following a budget, but I'm going to see if I can. We may want to retire someday.

Hope you all are having a great day!

Wow, Thankful, you are so talented. If you were here I would definitely hire you for lessons. I have always been creative in the writing dept- poetry- but have never been artistic the way you are, although I have tried!!

Thank you so much, Moria. I don't charge for lessons anymore, but I still teach. Maybe I should come to Hawaii! I have been there once and I loved it.

My children may move to Florida so we will probably be spending vacation time there.

YEAH!!!!!I found my lost glasses!

I had a new pair of glasses that I was not comfortable wearing and somehow I had lost them when we moved. I knew I need them so I started looking. Couldn't find them so I went to the eye doctor, ordered new glasses and lo and behold they were right where I had looked.

How can we search for something and overlook it?

They were in the overnight bag that I had packed when we moved. I had looked there, but I guess the case was the same color as the lining of the bag or something, but they jumped out at me today.

But another part of the story is that the doctor said that I needed a new prescription anyway, (so I guess it was good that I couldn't fine them) but I like to have plenty of backups. I am very nearsighted and lost without them.

Hope you are having a wonderful day. All is quiet here...husband and dog are taking a nap.

Last Friday, I talked to our cell phone company...they made a courtesy call and I guess I felt like being courteous.

I told them we needed a better plan than we had. We talked for sometime. I told the rep what we wanted. She reviewed our plan and call me later with what they could do. She said we were eligible for new phones at no cost and offered us a better plan.

She dictated the information to me that I was to tell the representative when I activated the new phones. There was one feature that I specified over and over that was what I wanted.

We received the phones today.....Little tiny things. Can't believe how small they are.

I called to activate....went through all the steps. Read the information that the previous rep had given me and you guessed it. She said if you change plans you can't have feature that you wanted. It has been discontinued, but we can offer you xyz for twice the cost.

Well, I got upset, but I tried to be courteous to the girl because she was not the one who told me I could have the plan as I requested. I told her no way that I would return the new phones. Finally, she said she would discuss it with her supervisor and call me back.

She did and we worked out a compromise. We got a new plan with all the features that we wanted for only $10.00 more a month. This was what the original rep had agreed to.

Nothing is simple anymore is it?

We didn't get the plan that was promised to us two years ago and we have lived with it. I determined to not make that mistake again. Well, we will see when we receive the bill.

Well, you didn't lose your temper. That's a plus! My day was quiet. Daughter has a bit of a cold, so we skipped the Breaking Free study this morning. I got a haircut this afternoon and am going to relax for the rest of the day. Husband leaves this Sat. for Iraq so I will need rest before a solid year of being with my daughter alone. I did that in 2002 for 8 months and I was tired, but she was only 2 then:)

Actually, Moira, I had to avoid losing my temper, my husband was in the same room and I didn't want to spoil my image.

Seriously, he said I could have been a little bit stronger in my persuasion without being rude.

I really dislike being misled by sales reps or anyone for that matter. I think that is why the first woman told me to write down exactly what to tell them when I activated the phone.

Today will be a busy day. I usually paint on Tuesdays, but we are having a going away party for a Sunday School Class Member. Her husband died and she is moving to Texas to be with her children.

Many people think she is doing the wrong thing, but I don't. She is buying her own house and she has no family here at all.

In fact I did the same thing 10 years ago. It was supposed to be temporary. I rented an apartment near my son and his family so I could help him in his business. Well temporary sure turned into permanent. Now they may be moving away, but I am settled here. Best decision I ever made....well nearly. It led to my meeting Ed, my husband. Best decision was marrying him.

I am waiting for the Schwan Man. As soon as he makes his delivery, I will run some errands and go to the party.

Have a great day everyone!!!!

As I predicted, yesterday was a very busy day.

I have to return to the eye doctor today. I can see just fine with my new glasses, but the frames need more adjusting to my head.

Then a doctor's appointment later in the day.

Hope you all have a great Lord's Day!!!!

Moira, I will be thinking and praying for you as your husband leaves.

True, God bless you, Moira.

Yesterday I spent mostly at the Ford repair shop, getting stuff fixed I only THOUGHT was under warranty.
Today I am working on college applications for oldest, ordering cake for Eagle Scout reception next week. :D (All right, I admit I keep mentioning it. I'm proud.)

Trying to keep eyeglasses on youngest's head. He keeps popping lenses out, scratching the non-scratch coating, etc.

Weather here this week so beautiful and spring-like it almost makes me forget how bad OK is in August.

Good Morning everyone!

I know you are looking at the time. The medicine that the doctor gave me "threw me for a loop" I maybe like Diane and can't take the recommended dose. I know I'm cutting the pill in half when I take it tonight.

Well anyway, I can breathe again and not clogged up, so I guess it really worked!

I'm going to take it easy the rest of the day.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Congratulations!!!!
Thanks very much! :D
The cake will look great. Walmart has an eagle cake with a resin eagle with outstretched wings.
The colors will be red, white, and blue.

Hope you feel better soon.

Today, working on college applications for oldest, laundry, getting hair degrayed. The last takes more effort these days.

Beautiful, sunny day in contrast to part of the country.

The cat is sitting next to me on his fleece blanket telling me that I should work less and nap more. After I feed him more Fancy Feast, of course.

Wow, Eagle Scout is a great accomplishment!! There were just a handful of boys in my high school who completed that level, but they did great things for the school and community. I would be proud as well!!!
