OK, since we are being derailed into talking about abortion, I'll bite: I am against it. So, I wouldn't automatically be a Democrat I guess; my position is more nuanced than that with the issue not being as partisan over here. You accuse me of hypocrisy, but I was drawing attention to the inconsistency of the so-called "pro-life" position in the US: you are all outraged over abortion - and rightly so - but are content it seems to see your schoolchildren gunned down en masse and not be willing to do a darn thing to change your gun laws to stop this. Hence: pro-life expires at birth. Prove me wrong: change your disgusting laws and I'll change my "disgusting" comment.
EWT asked for the UK's position on abortion: I'm am not sure whether he means legal position, or stats. On the former, the 1967 law permits abortion where the health of the mother is at risk. On the latter, recent stats have us at a rate of 17 abortions per 1000 women, compared to 20.8 per 1000 in the US Abortion Rates by Country 2022
I suspect that part if the reason for our lower rate is free contraception, and better maternity rights and maternity pay....on other words, more pro-life policies than the US
