Once again, I agree with you, and point to your very post as a prime example of your point. Thank you for making it even clearer than anyone on this board.

I have never read such unpatriotic crap as is being posted on this Politics Forum. One would think we have a bunch of Michael Moore clones posting here.

They can't help themselves. That is who the looney anti-war left is, a bunch of bitter, unpatriotic, hateful Michael Moore / Ted Ralls. They say they support the troops and then take every opportunity to ridicule them, their mission, and to demonize them. A good example would be this wonderful gem of hatred released by Ted Rall following the death of Pat Tillman:

You can see why I might have mistaken Mr. Nut for him, can't you?

EXCERPT

As of Friday, the beginning of a new fiscal year, the corps had re-enlisted 5,949 Marines for a second hitch (100.2 percent of the goal) and 5,079 for a third or subsequent tour (109.4 percent).

With many Marines serving multiple tours in Iraq, and Marine fatalities exceeding more than 500, some officials had worried that the Marine Corps would not be able to meet its re-enlistment goals.

Since establishing its annual re-enlistment goals -- in 1993 for first-term Marines, and 2002 for second- and third-termers -- the corps has never failed to meet those goals, Menotti said.

Yep, I heard Rush say this.
I heard Bill O'Reilly say it too.
Ann Coulter writes it and says it on FoxNews.
Sean Hannity says this on his radio program as well as his TV show.

Question: have you ever seen Moore's film from beginning to end?

Although I don't agree with Moore on many things, after what he did to Humana, he will always be okay in my book.

Regards,
BiR

May I also add that the Armed Forces is very selective in who they allow to enlist or sign over.

Is it OK to call Michael Moore a fat Commie pig on this forum or would that offend too many people.

Based upon my experiences with you in the past, I doubt very much that you would care......

What is it about Marines that always seems to make them step up to the plate when it really matters?

Never mind. I'm prejudiced.

I also know the answer.

</font>
And now you just read me saying it. What is your point? That I agree with Rush, O'Reilly, Coulter, and Hannity on some things whereas I disagree with them on others? Did you actually have a point?

Question: have you ever seen Moore's film from beginning to end?
Yes, I did one week before the election last year. I went to a liberal friends house and watched it non-stop from beginning to end. Then, we watched another movie from beginning to end non stop called farehnhype 911. We had an agreement that if I could show where Moore had lied or decieved about only one thing, that my friend would put a Bush sign in his yard. If I couldn't, then I would vote for Kerry. Well. I didn't vote for Kerry, and in the interest of fairness, I wasn't able to get a sign in his yard before the election. :D

But, his opinion of Moore and his work is not as high as it once was.

Again, did you have a point in asking me these questions? Have you ever watched FarehnHype 911 from beginning to end?

Noncitizen soldiers: the quandaries of foreign-born troops

By Patrik Jonsson | Correspondent of The Christian Science Monitor

RALEIGH, N.C. – Stuck in the Iraqi desert, fighting a war for a country not yet his, US Army Sgt. Leopoldo Escartin and other troops at Camp Dogwood hung a bit of home outside their desert-tan tent: the tricolor Mexican flag.
Making up about 7 percent of America's active fighting force, immigrants with green cards - Mexicans the largest group among them - are risking their lives not just for advancement within the Army, but for a leg up on the road to US citizenship. As America celebrated its 229th year of independence this weekend, immigrants offered their own breed of patriotic sacrifice, and their numbers are rising even as the Army has struggled to meet recruiting goals.

Their service is steeped in pride, but also in the paradoxes of allegiance inherent in serving under a foreign flag. "If I die over there, I'm not even dying for my own country," says Sergeant Escartin, who is based at Fort Bliss, Texas.

What if those 7 percent of the Mexicans over
there who fly there flag were to marry Iraqi
women or bring Iraqi families home..Mexico and
Iraq joined at the hip...Iraqis in Mexico?
,but that's alright bush accepts the open border
Now the Mexicans in our ranks can just arrange
for them to come to Mexico.

Aslan,

Would that be a big problem for you if Mexicans were to marry Iraqis? Is there something about their race that would bother you? Why are you asking us about this?

I think you made it for me. Thanks.

I own both movies, and the second one was absolutely pathetic.

Questions?
I asked you if you saw the movie from start to finish.

Yes, I am ashamed to say that I was stupid enough to buy it.

BiR,

Would you send it to me since you dislike it so much? I have many liberal friends I would like to show it to.

I'll pay you for it if you really want money for it, and if it is a fair price.

Well, sorry to say that it is on loan to a fellow Republican. You can pick it up at the local Sam's Club. I saw them on sale not too long ago.
