The Bema Seat Judgement A question

The kingdom of God is the thousand year kingdom, after which all who believed but were not in the kingdom will be raised up (at the last day, John 6:40) and those that were written in the book of life will go into eternity with the Lord. Those who did not believe will go into the lake of fire. No believer will be cast into the lake of fire for eternity, regardless of their works. But the kingdom is a reward for obedience after you are saved. It is at the judgment seat of Christ that believers will be judged for what they did after they were saved. Unbelievers will not appear at the judgment seat of Christ.

Da 2:44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
Da 4:3 How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.
Da 7:14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
Da 7:18 But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.
Da 7:27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

Sounds like an everlasting Kingdom to Daniel and me.

Respectfully, what do "flagellanties" have to do with this discussion or with the context of any of the verses in our discussion? I think we could all agree that purposfully hurting your body was not what Christ (or Paul) had in mind when he told Christians to "suffer".

Paul says "strive", "wrestle", "fight","endure", "run","suffer", etc. The verbs are always directed at those who are already very much saved and the context is always reward and/or entrance into the Millennial Kingdom.

BTW Brother, what a horrible life for a Christian to walk in terror of his loving Father. I feel very sorry for you if you truly believe that we will face an "ultimate judgment" at the bema. :(
Bob, I have asked you this before. How can you be consistent with your belief that it is "pathetic" if God "totally 100% forgives our sin and THEN we will still [could] be judged for them??", and yet you do not deny that God chastens his children (sometimes severely) in this life.

How could he chasten us (saved) without "judging" us (in some degree) worthy of chastening? And if we can be chastened in this life, then why not at the "Bema". Show me one verse!

My Bible says, "All that live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." We will suffer with Him. Maybe not the same way or to the same extent as others have, but we all will have our tribulations and trials to bear for Christ.

You just ran right over the first three words in that verse, brother.

Sorry, 4 words, I can't count sometimes.

Not every believer is going to suffer. Not every believer is going to live godly.

I agree, brother. And I did not run over those first three, nay four, words of the verse. (Actually the first four words are "Yea, and all that..." I left out the first two words.) I was just giving the benefit of the doubt that all on this board would try to live godly. However, I do believe that every believer will suffer. We either will suffer for Christ, or we will suffer from Christ. Whom the Lord loveth, He chasteneth.

No! In fact we are living in it right now. If you would read a little Baptist History you would learn that a lot of Baptists have been seduced away from historical Baptist beliefs by the Darby/Scofield error of dispensationalism.

I hope you're pulling my leg. You ought not say silly things like that, brother. What would ever give you the impression that this is the 1000 year kingdom? I can almost understand having that opinion in the 19th century, but after two bloody world wars? Come on.

 If THIS is the 1000 year millenium we better all pray that God does mankind a favor and ENDS it soon. This is one messed up world we are living in and it is doing nothing but getting worse by the day. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.Old Regular...I'm sorry if that offends you but I just can't believe anybody could get that out of the Bible in a way that doesn't contradict the majority of what the Book has to say about the subject.I believe you have been severely misled. This simply CANNOT be the 1000 year rule of Christ on this earth. He hasn't returned yet.

It is my understanding according to 1Cor.3:10-15

That our sins will not be judged, since all our sins were forgiven when we were saved. But our works will judged according to our FAITHFULNESS.

In the book of Revelation it says we will give the crowns we have received back to Jesus.

WHY ? Because only that WORK that was done THROUGH Jesus will counted as Gold, Silver and other precious stones. Any work we do in the flesh, or our of selfish motives will be burned.

2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Seems clear to me that saved Christians will be judged. What will be judged? "the things done in the body" not motives, but actions.

God either has judged EVERY SIN on the cross (and paid for them) or I am in deep trouble.

How anyone can think of God judging our sin and WE have to pay for it is just beyond the pale.

He is going to reward me. And since I've failed Him and sinned, I am going to lose rewards. THAT is punishment. But I have been judged and Jesus bore it all; all to Him I owe.

Did Jesus pay for the sins of Ananias and Sapphira? What about those Corinthians that were dying because they were not discerning the Lord's body in the Lord's supper?

James Newman, Lacy Evans, and others,

You believe that Christ and passages in the Bible teaching us that a Christian shall be banned from millennial kingdom and cast in the fire for 1000 years. You do really need a crystal solid verse or a passage in the Bible to support your teaching. Yet I do not find a single verse mentioned as what Joey Faust and others teaching about millennial exclusion.

Matthew 25:26-30 is the strong clear warning to us as servants if we do not use our talents for the Lord, we might be cast into the darkness. This passage does not saying that a servant shall be finally freed out of the outer darkness beyond the judgement day.

Throughout in the Bible teaching us of conditional warnings could lead us head toward everlasting destruction, if we do not abide, faithful, walk godly life .

Matt. 7:13-14 speak out to us with a clear warning about our two choice ways, which we are going either road to everlasting life, or everlasting punishment- heaven or hell. Very simple.

Also, I do not see any hint in the Bible telling us there will be two or three future judgement days beyond Christ's coming.

Matthew 25:31-46 probably is the clearlest passage proves us, there will be the only one judgement day at Christ's coming.

Often, throughout in the Bible, it teaches us, there are only two classes, one class go into the narrow road to everlasting life, another class go into wide road toward everlasting punishment. One class who is enter into the narrow road toward everlasting life, are faithful servants. Another class who enter into the wide road toward everlasting destruction, are unfaithful servants, who are not obeying God's commandments, remain in sinful life, without repent of sins.

Very simple and plain.

You have to accept what the Bible teaching us about the judgment seat of Christ is the only one event for every individuals throughout all ages at the coming of Christ with his angels- Dan. 7:10-11; Dan. 21:1-4; Matt. 25:31-46; John 5:25-29; Acts 10:42; Acts 17:31; Romans 2:16; Romans 14:10; Cor. 5:10; 2 Cor. 3:12-15; 2 Thess. 1:7-11; 2 Tim. 4:1; Rev. 14:14-20; and Rev. 20:11-15.

Difficult to find a verse or passage in the Bible saying, there will be two or three future judgement days.

The reason I disagree with their teaching, because it is come from dispensationalism.

Early Church taught there will be the only one future judgement day at Christ's coming. None of them were teaching on series of future judgement days. Because, Early Church saw there are the only two classes which will go into everlasting life - heaven with Christ, and other class will go into everlasting punishment - hell with Satan. Very simple and plain.

Then, later, today we have seen there are so many different views, opinions, about the judgment day. That is the mostly caused by dispensationalism. We have to sticky on God's Word, what it saying than what we are listening to today's men's teaching of Colossians 2:8.

In Christ
Rev. 22:20 -Amen!

OK Fine, then just answer my question about chastening.

How anyone can think of God judging our sin and WE have to pay for it is just beyond the pale.
see above question.

That is an interesting theory. I have heard it many times but I have never seen any scriptural support for it.
