Jim, your daughter and granddaughters are beautiful...thank you for sharing.

Hope you feel better soon Ed.

I took Lauren to the doctor to get her pre-Kindergarten check up and immunizations at the Kaiser clinic that just opened up about a mile away. She was a big girl and only cried on the last shot. (she had to have 5) She's in the 95% for height and weight in her age group. She did fine in the vision and hearing tests. She has to go back on Friday for blood tests and to get her skin test checked. Next week, Jordan and Haven have their check ups. I always get nervous taking them to the doctor. Doctors make me nervous in general.

Sherrie, how come you never post weather for my area? (It's Palmdale/Lancaster, California) I noticed you do it for most everyone else.
Are you mad at me or something?

Sue, Are you surviving?
Talk about Murphy's Law.

It was nice all day up until time to pick the boys up from school and then it started raining.

I think Ed's prayer helped though, I still have my sanity and they are all playing inside. Three boys that age really like to rough-house!

Thanks Rod, My local forcast said that it was going to rain some more. I am just hoping that it doesn't rain this weekend. It makes for slow travel, and my family are driving up from L.A. for Easter services. Is that this weekend already? Good gracious, I can't believe how fast times flies lately.

I don't know where Blackbird is; I know he had a thermos of Sherrie's special blend and something rocketed past here on the way to Wichita ...

I have obtained Sherrie's recipe:

1 pound fresh-ground coffee
1 quart spring water
½ teaspoon ground chickory

Add coffee and chickory (for a mellow flavor) to water and boil until metal spoon stands, without assistance, at 90-degree angle.

Strain out grounds and serve hot.

(Note: In some jurisdictions, a permit is required to dispense this formula, and most localities prohibit its introduction into any public water supply.)

Actually, these are the two children. THE WIFE does not like her picture taken, and I do not post my photo for fear of offending the brethren.

Good Morning all. I am up bright and early this morning so I need that coffee. Ed is on his way to work and I am on my way to the doctor now.

At least he is better today.

I guess Muffin (the dog) will be the next one to get sick.

BTW, the wind has quit blowing for now.

It blew in excess of 30 miles per hour in excess of 50 hours. I think that's more than two days.

Have a great day and May God Bless You.

Well, Betty: Looks like we're the only ones here this morning! I guess we will have to get our own drinks 'cause I don't even see Sherrie!

I think I'll have hot cocoa this morning instead of DDP 'cause it cooled down a lot last night and it is raining.

I hope the forecast changes. Right now it is supposed to rain on Easter Sunday. Rain for six Sundays in a row??? NOOOOO.

Well, have to run, hi to all you sleepy heads this mornin'.

Good morning. Blessings to all.

Betty, is Ed's surgery still scheduled for Friday? It is Good Friday. It is listed on my prayer calendar.

It is very cold here to-day. Back into winter garb, but we know that warmer weather will return.

Morning devotions were in 1 Sam 2: 1-11

"And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord......" She was in a continual state of prayer, and as she rose from prayer, she rejoiced in the Lord. What a marvellous thing for us to learn. How often do we rise from prayer and scoot about our business as if we had never entered into that holy of holy places; the presence of the King. We go about as paupers instead of princes and princesses. Lord, help me to be a good prince, to-day.

Cheers to all,

Jim
