You sort of did make it up since that verse does not teach what you claim it does.
See ...
  • [Romans 9:16]
  • [NASB] 16 So then it [does] not [depend] on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy.
  • [KJV] 16 So then [it is] not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
  • [NIV] 16 It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God's mercy.
  • [NLT] 16 So it is God who decides to show mercy. We can neither choose it nor work for it.
  • [ESV] 16 So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy.

All of these are examples of humans wanting a god but not wanting GOD ALMIGHTY.

Calvinists deny the obvious, the lost were indeed willing for the salvation of God Almighty. Calvinists simply rewrite scripture after scripture rather than say "you are right Van, scripture shows Calvinism to be bogus."

You refused to answer his question. Why is that?
Falsehood after falsehood is reposted endlessly by one Calvinist after another. How many times have I answered "are you a universalist? More than a dozen times. People bought with Christ's blood do not all receive the reconciliation, therefore scripture precludes universalism. However, the Calvinists make that false charge against me non stop to hide the truth.

Now has any Calvinist addressed the topic or just offered disparagement of me? Go figure

Before you are born, you are a fetus.
Before conception, the Bible calls you "seed".
When God spoke to Eve, was Abram "a People"?

God CHOSE the future descendants of Abram to become His people before Isaac was born and referenced their captivity in Egypt and the Passover and destruction of Egypt. Paul tells us that Jesus is the vine that fulfills that promise and God chose the branches to remain, the branches to be removed and the branches to be grafted in.

Why is it inconceivable that an Omniscient God could have chosen all of the branches individually?
What twaddle!! If we were chosen individually before creation, we were always a people. Good grief!!

Does anyone think Ephesians 1:4 reads "He chose us in Him [to be His people after we lived not as a people chosen by God]? Only Calvinists would dare such a complete rewrite of scripture.

I did but you responded by ignoring my comments, scripture and then disparaging me. You do not deserve to play the victim when you are the perpetrator.

I cut paste scripture all the time. It's called spreading the gospel is this deceptive? Mr Pharisee.

The E.L.E.C.T. acronym is not scripture, just like T.U.L.I.P. is not scripture. The difference is that TULIP is well known and it is obvious that no one here created it, while ELECT is being presented as if it were original work and its source is refused to be identified.
