You sort of did make it up since that verse does not teach what you claim it does.
See ...
- [Romans 9:16]
- [NASB] 16 So then it [does] not [depend] on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy.
- [KJV] 16 So then [it is] not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
- [NIV] 16 It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God's mercy.
- [NLT] 16 So it is God who decides to show mercy. We can neither choose it nor work for it.
- [ESV] 16 So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy.
All of these are examples of humans wanting a god but not wanting GOD ALMIGHTY.
No, I copied scripture, such as Romans 9:16, 2 Thessalonians 2:13, 1 Peter 2:10, 1 Timothy 2:4-6, and Matthew 23:13.Did you create this yourself or are you copying someone else?
Falsehood after falsehood is reposted endlessly by one Calvinist after another. How many times have I answered "are you a universalist? More than a dozen times. People bought with Christ's blood do not all receive the reconciliation, therefore scripture precludes universalism. However, the Calvinists make that false charge against me non stop to hide the truth. You refused to answer his question. Why is that?
What twaddle!! If we were chosen individually before creation, we were always a people. Good grief!!Before you are born, you are a fetus.
Before conception, the Bible calls you "seed".
When God spoke to Eve, was Abram "a People"?
God CHOSE the future descendants of Abram to become His people before Isaac was born and referenced their captivity in Egypt and the Passover and destruction of Egypt. Paul tells us that Jesus is the vine that fulfills that promise and God chose the branches to remain, the branches to be removed and the branches to be grafted in.
Why is it inconceivable that an Omniscient God could have chosen all of the branches individually?
Yet another complete fabrication to fill space and lengthen the thread. Will be included in his forthcoming Systematic theology!
You are being deceptive. Did you create the entire E.L.E.C.T. acronym you've been pasting? No, I copied scripture, such as Romans 9:16, 2 Thessalonians 2:13, 1 Peter 2:10, 1 Timothy 2:4-6, and Matthew 23:13.
I cut paste scripture all the time. It's called spreading the gospel is this deceptive? Mr Pharisee. You are being deceptive. Did you create the entire E.L.E.C.T. acronym you've been pasting?
I did but you responded by ignoring my comments, scripture and then disparaging me. You do not deserve to play the victim when you are the perpetrator. Now has any Calvinist addressed the topic or just offered disparagement of me? Go figure
The E.L.E.C.T. acronym is not scripture, just like T.U.L.I.P. is not scripture. The difference is that TULIP is well known and it is obvious that no one here created it, while ELECT is being presented as if it were original work and its source is refused to be identified.I cut paste scripture all the time. It's called spreading the gospel is this deceptive? Mr Pharisee.
