No, not even close to a cult but you and Roby agree if that is any consolation to you. KJV Only are Fundamentalists who have a strong liking for the KJV. There is nothing wrong with that per se because the KJV is a sound translation with no more human shortcomings than any other translations and no translation disputes affecting any doctrine and a much better translation than some later ones.

Fundamentalism per se is good and true.
None here would disagree with that statement regarding the Kjv, we just disagree that it is perfect and only valid translation!

I am an indy fundy Baptist who does not follow nor believe any MAN-MADE doctrines of faith/worship, as all of them are false, & the KJVO myth fal;ls into that category. It has NO SCRIPTURAL SUPPORT, & is totally man-made.

While KJVO isn't a cult, it's certainly a false doctrine.
That is why I used Cultic ;like!

Yeshua, why not please respect the fact that a Moderator intended the close this thread (see post #216) and not extend the discussion out any further? Rather, start a new thread if you wish. Thanks.

To be fair, threads are fair game as long as they are open.

Lots of interesting discussions happen on this board. Just like Rippon would like to see the NIV more respected, and he has every right to do so, those of us who prefer and read the KJV would also like to see that version respected more. Certain posters just can't seem to help themselves, I guess.

It's not only a matter of respect; it's a matter of what's true and what is false. And that isn't a matter of opinion.

Far as I know, all here respect the Kjv, just not KJVO!
