We are all set now! An eye exam for Beth tomorrow and that is it! We have a Polish chap attending our church while he is in Ireland - his family is back in Poland so he is spending Christmas with us

We spent the evening at the supermarkets. Tesco was heaving, trolleys queing down the isle...

We saw some friends from church who said they usually shop at Asda (Walmart) but the queues were so long to get into the car park they decided to try Tesco instead. Rob and I then decided to brave Sainsburys for the things we couldn't get in Tesco. We are still short of unsalted butter and some Tigger socks. Don't ask... LOL.

We made a total of 3 trips to Wal-Mart for the sinus medicine I prefer. They'd changed the packaging and Jim came home twice with the wrong thing so I called and they found it for me. New colored box even. The rain is quite heavy so there were not many out when I went... at least not for a few days before Christmas.

Good Morning all.

I am not sleeping much at all so I thought I would look in and see what you all are up to...and it is not a lot at the moment. I actually think I slept better when I was the other side of the pond. LOL. I am going for a wander, have a good day.

God Bless

Coming back from the airport we could not get through Naas because of the traffic. We tried a cut through and saw a sign that said "Canal Road Closed". I didn't beleive it so tried it and guess what? It was actually open. Good thing cause it is hard to turn around on the little road with a canal on one side

Hi everyone. Roads are terrible here. Airports are closed. Pouring rain and then freezing rain, then snow,,and that means slush.

Cheers,

Jim

Yes, you are jumping the gun a bit Roger.

I don't think I have ever been so disorganised at Christmas. I am still trying to think of ways to simplify things for next year. I hope everyone else is more organised than I am. I am sure you all are. I will look in later,

God Bless

Sheila, we make a big production of our Thanksgiving meal and cheat some at Christmas. We'll still have turkey and stuffing, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce and asparagus but that's it. I'd rather spend time with Nick and his gifts than worry about a table that looks perfect and all that clean up! I may not even get out the good china. YIKES!

I'm looking forward to our Christmas Eve service tonight. It's still quite cold so I'll probably wear a snowflake sweater over a turtleneck and black slacks with ankle boots instead of a holiday dress. It's by candle light so the gold threads on my sweater will glitter.

Hi, Diane

Your outfit sounds lovely. As we don't have a Thanksgiving holiday here we do tend to take the Christmas dinner rather seriously. I think we will have to eat fairly early tomorrow as Sam has to work tomorrow night. We open our presents in the afternoon after lunch. Guess what Sam will be taking for his packed lunch, LOL. I hope you have a lovely service this evening,

God Bless

I changed my mind, Sheila, and am wearing a dark green velvet dress with matching green suede boots and a big holiday necklace in green, cream and burgundy. Jim's wearing a bright red shirt so we look like Christmas!

'See' you all later.

Jim,

Thank you. Isn't she beautiful. What a lovely face she has. Whoever could be cruel to her? (or any animal) She looks so hugable and I am sure she gets lots of hugs in your home.

Blessings

We saw our first snowdrop last night as we walked back to the car thru' the hospital grounds. It was just a single one peeking thru' the grass. I will have to wander round our garden and see if there is any sign of ours. Oh, Rob just told me we have lots coming thru' but this one at the hospital is actually in flower.

Off to the hospital now, will look in later
