I had to look up Blog in the online dictionary. Now my question is, why would anyone want to keep a diary of daily or weekly events for all the world to read? Aren't you supposed to hide the key from your little brother and put the diary under your mattress?

WeBLOG: A Web site that contains dated entries in reverse chronological order (most recent first) about a particular topic. Functioning as an online journal, blogs can be written by one person or a group of contributors.

See: blogosphere, blogrolling, blognosing, blogorrhea, blogger, War blog and dooced.

I can just see the blog of the average housewife.
'Today I found a spaghetti stain on hubby's best white shirt. I'm trying the bleach pen and will update tomorrow if it works or not'. LOLOL

Blogging has changed in the last year or so. It is a simple way to post virtually anything online. Our photoblog is a great way for family and friends to visually stay up to date with family and ministry.

Google has new software that allows blogging photos with about 3 clicks.

I also do a blog version of my daily devos, closed to all except thse who have the address. Several family members have shared how these have been a blessing to them.

We are not talking about a 14 year olds pink diary with a heart shaped key. Blogging has evolved beyond journaling.

It is a great way to stay up to date with friends without paying for a website.

Actually "The Original Tea Room" is a group blog

I got up this morning about 9:30. I usually
get up at 6:30 with the alarm except for
7:30 on Sunday. But it is a day off. I
like days off -- best part of my job is the
days off

Thankful and I read our niece's blog.
We knew more than than their parents about
many details of the nephew & niece's
daily life. I guess one day they found out
who was reading and changed location; but that
could have been one of the less discrete relatives?

I think you need to have an interesting life to need a blog. My laundry days and floor scrubbing would bore you to death. LOLOL I'll just BBblog instead.

In the previous years, I had started a few journals, only to have them fizzle out. I found a journal I had started in 2003. The first entry stated how I had always wanted to keep a journal and continue it for as long as I could write. At the time, I felt I had a lot to say. 3 pages later, it fizzled out.

I have to do an "Engineer's Diary" - daily - when I'm at work. Often - I do not fill up the page!

This IS the day the Lord hath made, I WILL rejoice and be glad in it.

Everything is wonderful here and I am glad to be among the living.

Wife, daughters and granddaughter will be back from England on Friday. They had a wonderful tour of England and Scotland. It was unusually hot, but they were determined to enjoy themselves and not moan about weather.

Rejoice, and again, I say, rejoice..........

I've not seen an update on the young dog you found. Is she still doing well?

I won't see the granddaughters this year. One daughter and granddaughter flew directly back to Tampa, Florida. Mary will go there for Christmas, and the kids will be here next June for the month.

Wife and one daughter came home. Daughter lives just a few miles from us. They had a great time, but are glad to be home as well.

Buddy thinks she has lived here all her life. She is a lovely dog and fits in quite well. In fact, she shared my bed the whole two weeks Mary was away..along with Snoopy the little beagle, of course.

Just thought it was time to say hello. It is a lovely hot day here and I am enjoying it much. Clearing more acreage into grass and eventually to plant a few fruit trees in the open space. We already have apple trees, but intend to plant some pear and plum trees. Love the outdoors and the freedom to work there as I please.
