Hello to you all,

I hope you are ok. Hopefully it won't be too long now before we all start experiencing some finer weather. We are enjoying seeing the snowdrops and crocus, mostly yellow and some mauve
in the garden. Daffodils are coming thru and are in bud and the fuchsias in the greenhouse are also in bud.

Got some reading to do,

God Bless

Dan,

I posted in the "what are you reading?" thread. But I have tried reading and it was sending me to sleep.
Should I tell my lecturer he has come up with a cure for insomnia  :D

I am re-reading The Case for Biblical Christianity by E.J. Carnell. This was Carnell's last book before his untimely death in 1967. He was one of our brightest scholars.

He follows after Soren Kierkegaard and exposes the falacies of Reinhold Niebuhr and Neo-orthodoxy.

Heavy reading, but a worthy read for the serious thinker.

Cheers,

Jim

We often talk about God's timing. I had an impulse to go to my old stomping ground, and lo, there were two people there begging me to pray with them. We went to the prayer room and had a victorious time in the Lord's presence.

Who says God doesn't speak to-day?

Cheers,

Jim

Other than my commentaries on "Romans" and posts on BB - I'm not reading much of anything right now.

Sheila,

When you say that you can't sleep - we'll now know that you are not reading!

Dan - trying to be funny again!

Dan, did you let a smiley slip in there. I hope you are not going to try and blame me for that. LOL.

If I wanted to read during the night then I would have to go into another room, which would mean getting cold. If I read in bed that would mean having a light on, which would disturb Rob.

Good Morning to you all, be back later.
Blessings

Sheila

I would never blame you for putting a

in my posts. I don't think the  bother Jim - like the many many pictures that we sometimes see.

Though on the "I want a puppy" thread - I posted a picture of a yorkshire terrior in answer to a question asked - and I think he liked that one.

No pictures here though - only  !

Dan - up to just a little mischief  !

Good morning. Good to see some up bright and early, perky as can be, and ready to go.

I have already been to Corner Shop for a cuppa, a gossip and general chatter, and off to the county refuse station...the dump! Then the recycle depot.

Smileys don't trouble me at all. I can also handle one small photo at a time, but for many of the cartoon photos that are used just don't belong on an adult site..in my humble opinion...and when they gang up, bump me off.

Cheers,

Jim

Dan, I am interested to know what commentaries you are using for Romans?

Are you an admirer of Paul's writing and theology? Do you read many books re: Paul?

Sheila (loves talking books) :D
