You are straight up denying 1 John 2:2, that Christ died for the sins of the whole world.

Believing the lie that Christ only died for the Elect.

There's no reasoning with someone who denies the plain Scripture!

False accusation, I said nothing about 1 Jn 2:2 but that unbelievers Christ died for aren't condemned for unbelief, they are reconciled to God. Now you deny that.

Christ redeemed the whole world BF.
Thats a false teaching, its universalism. The ones Christ redeemed in Rev 5:9 were redeemed unto God, that's Salvation

9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

And they were made new creatures Vs 10

10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Have you taken leave of your senses, BF?

Christ died for the sins of the whole world, and the unbelievers who die in the state of unbelief cannot be reconciled to God.

I'm beginning to wonder if you've ever read the Scripture!

A Christian Testimony of the saving efficacy of Christs Death

(Rev 5:9 KJV)
And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

Now a new song is being sung. This new song has its focus on the redemption the Lord Jesus Christ effected through His sacrifice on Calvary. Since Christ was the one who effected redemption by Himself, He was worthy to take the book and to open it and open the seals. (Heb 1:3 KJV) Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Christ’s effectual redemption of the Elect, by His own blood, redeemed us to God, in other words, the Elect of God were reconciled unto Him. The redeemed of God can be found in every country around the world. (Mat 24:31 KJV) And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. On the last day when God finally winds up this present sinful generation, all the Elect will be gathered from all the nations on earth. The new song always focuses on the Lord Jesus Christ who is the center of the book of Revelation. Revelation 5:8-14

So you are a universalist BF. Christ died for the whole world.

Heb_2:9 "...should taste death for every man"

1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
1Ti 2:6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all,...

1Ti 4:10 ... we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.

Rom 5:6 ... Christ died for the ungodly.

You falsely said Christ redeemed the whole world. Then thats universalism

Well whatever "Christian" wrote that comment did not understand the bible very well.

No sins were purged, but they were cover which is what we see in the OT account in Lev 16. Christ was the atoning sacrifice BF, try to remember that.

FYI no one is "Elect" prior to them being in Christ the Elect One.

The sinners that Christ died for were reconciled to God but being reconciled to God does not mean saved BF. Remember all people, the whole world was reconciled to God via His atoning sacrifice.

Rom_5:10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled G2644 to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, G2644 we shall be saved by His life.

2Co_5:18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled G2644 us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, G2643
2Co 5:19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling G2644 the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. G2643

2Co_5:20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled G2644 to God.

Reconcile G2643 the restoration of the favour of God to sinners that repent and put their trust in the expiatory death of Christ

Reconcile G2644 return to favour with, be reconciled to one

Being reconciled does not mean saved BF or the whole world would be saved from what you are saying.

That person had a understanding of the death of Christ

Yes it does, God is reconciled to them, and thats while being unbelievers. They will never be condemned.

No it doesn't, BF! Reconcile means to be brought back to friendly terms, to be friendly again.

It does not mean salvation!

Christ paying our sin debt brought man back to friendly terns with God.

I mentioned before how God punished sin in the OT in real time, but when Christ paid our sin debt it brought us back to friendly terms with God.

I wish I had your patience, @Silverhair

I have tried to point him to the truth but it is not going to happen as he will not acknowledge the truth when it is right in front of him.

Perhaps he is one that while he may have thought his faith was real, it was only a case of self deception, or even worse, divine deception. John Calvin called this divine deception “evanescent grace”.
According to Calvin, God gave such people a delusion that made them think they were saved, and even feel like they were saved, only to eventually remove this fleeting grace and reveal that they were just deluded hypocrites that God had never regenerated and whose faith, while it seemed very real to them, was not real faith at all.

Only time will tell.

Yes it does, A reconciled person or people dont have their sins imputed to them. Thats salvation 2 Cor 5:19

To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

I agree, it's tragic.

If you would just listen, BF.

"Not imputing their trespasses to them" is referring the trespasses being imputed to Christ on the Cross rather than us.

It's not referring to salvation! It's referring to our sin debt paid and God back on friendly terms with us, that is reconciliation.

It is referring to salvation from the penalty of sin. Nobody in the reconciled world has to worry about dying in their sins. You dont believe that's salvation
