She also has an arrest record. How in the world did this loud mouthed nut ever get elected. I believe we can expect more of her disrespectful foul mouth in the future. Pelosi didn't rein her in and she will remain out of control.

because she is from Dearbornistan. Nancy Pelosi came off really bad tonight, her problems are going to continue with Trump but Sandy and this one (among others) are really going to keep her spinning.

Aaaaaand Carpro out of left field. Now we’ve come full circle “whataboutism”. I’m sure the guy in the thread that tried to pull that on me will be here shortly to police this.

The trouble about whataboutism is when you have one example of unacceptable behavior by someone you don't like being compared to another example of unacceptable behavior by someone you do like, it's problematic even if the problem is identical. If it's not, well apples and oranges are both edible fruit.

If it's okay when you do it, but not for them, you're being hypocritical and having a double standard. If it's okay when they do but not when you do it, that's still a double standard and it's self-censoring. If it's okay for both, there goes any standard. So I'm left with it's not okay for either.

Why do you need to choose between the Billy Bush conversation and this Tliab's statement? Neither should ever be repeated but you know they will. This has a lot of precedence - you have seen LBJ and the tailor (vulgar and offensive), some of the Watergate tapes (language), the waitress sandwich thing back in the day? What about them? The standards have already gone poof.

For the thousandth time. I didn’t bring in the Bush tape into this argument. Benjamin drummed up the argument on his own. Also, I’ve soundly called out both parties here. It would really help if people could at least try to keep up with how this thread progressed.

I wonder if you are going to address my response to your cringy consent defense?

Really man. I can’t picture context that would spawn that kind of commentary in a positive light.

I never claimed it was positive.

Donald Trump had no idea he was being recorded. They had to secretly tape him, and we do not know what was said before or after. The legality of the recording is in question. And the conversation isn’t complete.

This woman had a microphone and was in the middle of a victory speech in front of constituents. We know everything that was said.

There is no comparison.

It occurs to me that a better “what-about-ism” for a comparison between Tlaib” recent language and Trump’ talk would be when he called the kneeling NFL players “SOB”s.

Dude go read the transcript. It’s a lot worse than what I presented here. I can’t even quote it because I would have to spend half an hour sanitizing it for posting. Spoiler alert, he drops an f bomb too.
Dude, you’ve evidently never heard much “locker room talk,” are unaware of our highly sensual, highly sexualized, highly seductive culture, and think #MeToo tells most of the story. I do not approve of it. Nor would you, if you were aware of it. But it’s tons worse than what that transcript reveals, even in the non-star world.

Like I said, not good, but mild by comparison to so many others in the world. Perhaps that shocks you, but such is the case. If you ignore all of the seduction going on and reasons for it, then you will never be able to understand what I am saying here. Never.

The subject of this thread is the foul mouthed muslim female radical activist democrats have been dumb enough to elect.

The only people here who are guilty of "whataboutism" are the ones that brought up the behavior of someone else to mitigate hers.

What-about-ism = dismissal of precedent.

I don’t like her language but I am more concerned with her putting a piece of tape over Israel on her office map and writing Palestine

I don’t like loud-mouthed American Muslim women. They rail against our system, which has more respect for women than any other country I’ve ever been to, while the women in their original countries are treated worse than dogs. I was angry at the women I saw in the Mideast for allowing themselves to be treated that way. I don’t understand it, it’s evil, and evangelical Muslims who support or ignore it have no place serving in a representative republic.

If you say so. If that’s “the world” we live why are we all of a sudden blushing at a bad word and excusing others. I’ve been in the Army, I went to a military college and played sports in high school. Please don’t lecture me on “locker room talk.” Just because we labeled it locker room talk doesn’t it make it acceptable or even untrue.

Yeah, forgot about that one. Honestly, I didn’t really bat an eye at that one though.

I wonder what the others in this thread would think about it though.

They're following Pelosi's lead, I suppose. That was exactly what she did.

More importantly, Pelosi didn't call Ms. Foul Mouth on the carpet. So this type of behavior will continue to stain the decorum of a House of Representatives with a weak leader, whose only message is to hate Trump. She'll allow any type of behavior that advances that message.

Do like that the rubber backed republicans seem to have found a steel backbone for now!

Great, so you can take some comfort in know you ain’t the only one who gets his panties in a knot if his argument gets punked through some simple logical truths.:D:Roflmao

You have argued with yourself and somehow lost. You manufactured an argument. Outlined the public vs private argument (which you made in comparison to some hypothetical argument about liberals) which Bro. Curtis was kind of enough to remind me that Trump himself has violated while in office. (Calling football players SOB’s).

Good job!

Still different, she called Trump out by name but you really should expect more of this.

.

I wonder if you are going to address my response to your cringy consent defense?

Cringy, huh? Well, what's a synonym for "let"? Allow, permit and agree. No, I don't believe it was any admission of rape, and I don't believe anyone else did, either. The MSM hacks sat on this tape for months and tried to release it at the right time to do the maximum damage. The ensuing faux outrage doesn't wash.
