I only have a 1958 edition of the Phillips. I once owned the 1973 edition but it got misplaced.

Was that the fairly large one with the brown Kivar cover? I bought a copy at the Baptist Book Store in the mid-'70s. I'm not sure where it is now, but it was a comfortable read.

If you were to make a Top Three list of Bible translations, what would that list look like?

(For clarification purposes, I'm basically asking which three Bible translations would you consider to be your personal favorites.)

I’m biased towards the Byzantine Textform so I primarily favor these three:

NKJV
KJV
WEB

I enjoy the ESV as well. It retains some of the beautiful language used in familiar passages (ex. Psalm 23)

Now look what you did, you riled up the Calvinist... Now we are never going to hear the end of it... You'll learn!... Brother Glen:Roflmao

Thanks for the heads up, Brother Glen!

I also meant to mention I have read the MEV New Testament and I like it as well. To me it reads very similar to the ESV, but has a different textual basis of course.
