Lol.... If I got offended by "locker room" talk I don't think I'd have had the career I've had. And that was mild.

Was it "presidential". No. But rarely have I seen Trump be "presidential". Is it a huge deal? Well....there's a joke here but I'll refrain.

I'd be more concerned about Harris' outright lies while campaigning (I think she has now passed Trump, but not sure), except that's to be expected from politicians.

So it goes to policies:

Trump:

1. Pro-abortion except late term (1%)
2. Pro-conservative LGBT
3. Pro smaller federal government
4. Pro state government

Harris:

1. Pro requiring hospitals to perform abortion
2. Pro-abortion as birth control
3. Pro allowing parents to transition pre-teens
4. Pro expanding the federal government
5. Pro government censorship of citizens

People should choose which platform to support based on the platform.

Interesting comment by someone who calls himself a Christian.

Ephesians 5:3-5 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

I remember when I started working in the oil field the first of three summers, that I would actually flinch when foul language was used. Probably because I had not been around such language very much, and when I was, it was used in anger, not in normal conversation.

You are surprised because…….?

My question is how does he know? Was he just using a metaphor for bravery, courage, or being an over all “manly man”?

BTW, I agree it was vulgar.

peace to you

Why do you suppose Mr. Trump engages in vulgar talk? To communicate with those immersed in godless culture?

The use, used as bait, gives him coverage, reaching voters whose language may also be vulgar at times.

Mr. Trump is winning the vote of workers, whether white, black, brown or what have you. No tax on tips. More jobs. School choice.

Then why don't we train our missionaries and pastors who try to reach those in a godless culture to talk about genitalia size and blowj@bs and call women whores and use the F-word and use God's name in terrible abuse?

Wow, if Trump is reaching voters with his lewd speech, then we ALL should start talking like this. EVERYONE would be "reached".

Where am I wrong in interpreting what you are saying in defending his sin, Van?

I guess I'm living in the past and expect better of people. A time when rudeness and profanity just weren't tolerated in public. Maybe we should bring back, ''blue laws''? Close many business's and restrict what can be bought from the ones that are open on Sunday mornings anyhow? Seriously, I'm not joking or being sarcastic here. The twenty post-war years, 1945-1965 were some of the best we could have been.

I don't agree with Ken on some things, however he has a good point about the dangers and slippery slope of a two party political system. Just look what our choices are right now. I'll vote and I'll vote Trump, but I wish there were other viable choices.

Obviously, DT isn’t a missionary, he’s a politician. What works for politicians does not, especially in this case, work for preaching the gospel.

Again, it’s vulgar and unseemly, from my point of view. In @Van’s defense (I can’t believe I’m actually defend him) in this case I think he is just pointing out that DT is attempting to connect with people who are not offended by such talk.

I would go further, though, and state that’s just the way he talks. I don’t think he’s doing anything other than just being himself.

Being authentic appeals to people. There will be no surprise should DT win. Everyone knows what we are getting; the good, the bad, and the ugly.

peace to you

Especially since the presidential candidates of both major parties have, more and more with each election, ditched the idea of trying to persuade voters to cast their vote for them, and, instead, pretty much just try to rile up their respective party's base.

If this trend continues, I do wonder just how long a representative form of government based on voting will survive in the United States, especially with the economic and financial hurricane that will come at some point, with the national debt having doubled in the ten years since 2014 to $35 trillion and would reach $70 trillion by 2034, if it doubles in the next ten years. At some point, I think, there will be major problems caused by the national debt - which neither major party nor their presidential candidates are discussing by detailing plans with how to balance the budget within four years, a presidential term in office.

Christians don't have to be prudish about everything.
A prude is someone who is easily shocked at minor things and gets in a huff about it.

I'm not shocked - this is who he is and has been. What comes out of his mouth is not minor.

My tender ears are not wounded. I'm just sick of it.

The last moral president we had was Jimmy Carter. I will take a highly effective filthy mouth from Queens over a Jimmy Carter in office ANY day.

Colossians 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
I follow this. Trump is my candidate for Prez. Not my pastor or spiritual advisor. He may cuss like a sailor, but his legislative agenda is pro Christian. His legislative agenda is all I care about.

I have not read it nor heard it. I know nothing about it.

Once again, though it’s been said before, I am voting for Trump for president, not for my pastor.

He can never be as evil as Harris.

I've been surprised at the language on both sides.

But we have to remember this is the World and we are called not to judge the World as it is already condemned.

I am not sure we should expect more. There was a time when the secular respected Christianity for the most past, and even many of its values. The World looked Christian.

Now we have Chriatians looking like the World (most professing Christians support abortion in most cases and SSM, for example).

Personally I believe this is a direct result of the GOP (the DNC has always been proud of being demonic, but the GOP is more of a wolf looking like sheep).

Take Trump, for example. He vows not to ban abortion, supports SSM, uses bad language, jokes about using bad language, etc. And he is considered the "Christian" candidate.

But Trump gave us judges that overturned Roe V Wade. Trump says it's a state issue.
