Trump didn’t call for violence when he said “peacefully and patriotically let your voices be heard”.
Will you acknowledge he spoke those words on Jan 6 when he told his supporters to go to congress?

Sure, when you provide the transcripts of that exact statement and the exact time when he made the statement.
Problem for you is that Trump was busy hurling insults at his Vice President because Pence was doing his duty instead of serving a raving lunatic.

For the record, I am an Independent. I have no use for either major party. However, considering the disappointment of this year's midterms, the GOP has a lot of re-thinking to do. It thought its strategy of hammering the Democrats over inflation, crime, immigration, and wokeness would resonate with voters. That strategy only worked in certain races, but overall it failed. The results of this latest failure will embolden Democrats to move forward with their agenda. Inflation will continue unabated, as well as deepening lawlessness.
How does Donald Trump fit into all of this? Trump's narcissism takes all the oxygen out of the room. He is attacking the most successful Republican governor in the nation as part of his scorched earth policy. Remember how he had his minions engage in character assassination against Ted Cruz? He is going to amp that up against Desantis. Why? Because he knows Desantis is a credible threat. But in doing so, Trump is going to divide his base. Even if he wins the nomination he will lose in the general election. I concur that the Democrat, Liz Cheney, will run as an independent and siphon away enough votes in swing states to hand the election to the Democrats.
Unless God intervenes, I see this nation heading into a dark place from which it may never be able to extricate itself.
