What's your point?Yahweh used 5,824 times in LEB
Jehovah used 0
Yahweh used 5,795 times in WEB
Jehovah used 0
Yahweh used 611 times in HCSB
Jehovah used 0
It still is not the real name of God, no matter how many times they have it in print though! What's your point?
The word "Jehovah" occurs over 3,000 times in the NWT.
So?What's your point?
The word "Jehovah" occurs over 3,000 times in the NWT.
Uh, none of them are antiquated. All are 20th century versions except the RV which was first published in 1881.In your post #52 you gave info about how many times both words appear in four antiquated, seldom-used translations.
The point being that "Jehovah" was used in not only the NWT but in several non-JW versions.I know, but think that the JW cannot even find that as being the name of God in the bible itself!
Irrelevant to the discussion. You just gotta learn to pay attention!I used three better known and more often used versions. The versions I quoted did not use the name Jehovah at all. Yet Yahweh was used instead.
Are you speakin as a....oh forget it.Yes, I can.
I am speaking as someone who is tired of meaningless, grammarless, senseless, responses which have absolutely nothing to do with the discussion at hand. Are you speakin as a....oh forget it.
I view that as weaknessI am speaking as someone who is tired of meaningless, grammarless, senseless, responses which have absolutely nothing to do with the discussion at hand.
I will be the first to admit my lack of patience (usually with foolishness) is my besetting sin. (As most people on the Baptist Board already know.)
I do not suffer fools gladly.
I do not celebrate stupidity.
I do not consider ignorance to be a virtue.
Mea culpa. Mea culpa. Mea maxima culpa.
Poor puppy. Do you need a safe space? -) You know what they say: "If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen."<Sigh>
Please. Do me a favor. Don't quote me or respond to me in any way from now on and I will do the same to you. I just can't take it any more.
The English in all four is dated i.e. antiquated language.Uh, none of them are antiquated. All are 20th century versions except the RV which was first published in 1881.
Says the guy who conflates two different posts.Irrelevant to the discussion. You just gotta learn to pay attention!
"I think"implying what? Perhaps, I am not sure...but I am throwing it out there to aggravate.Poor puppy. Do you need a safe space? -) You know what they say: "If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen."
I'm afraid your authority here as a mod doesn't extend as far as you would like.
You have the option of using the ignore feature. Of course I think using it is a joke.
You still fail to see the point. Even after it was explained to you, you still fail to see the point. That is pretty sad.You must have a preference for obscure and irrelevant versions.
So do I.I view that as weakness
I can't stand the heat. Heat exacerbates my MS. I don't go out much during the summer. The only time I leave the house is on Sunday for church and on Tuesday for choir practice."If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen."
I have not exercised by authority as an Admin.I'm afraid your authority here as a mod doesn't extend as far as you would like.
No, I don't.You have the option of using the ignore feature.
LOL! ROFLOL! Yes, the English language has changed so much since 2009 that the English of the EMTV is antiquated! 8 whole years! Heavens! LOL! ROFLOL!The English in all four is dated i.e. antiquated language.
Your in my prayers TomI can't stand the heat. Heat exacerbates my MS. I don't go out much during the summer. The only time I leave the house is on Sunday for church and on Tuesday for choir.

Whenever I see the above I picture someone about to vomit.ROFLOL!
Hey, the ESV came out in the 21st century and yet largely used antiquated language. The particular year is irrelevant, what matters is the sort of language used.Yes, the English language has changed so much since 2009 that the English of the EMTV is antiquated! 8 whole years!
I think that the Esv uses current English.Whenever I see the above I picture someone about to vomit.
