Yes I know it's not a nation, but is wholly Danish which makes it as Dane as Denmark itself. Alaska is not a sovereign nation either but nobody imagines it's a piece of rock; it's America, as American as DC.
The US has bases there and is free to engage Denmark on development/ equal partner basis but this is not 100 years ago. There is no slavery and you can't just trade citizens for cash.
If they are spooked by Kung Fu man then they should match their offer of investing into the rock. I read that it's so hostile(terrain and ice) that oil exploration can only take off a decade from now.
If you ask me, I'd say it's more strategic than Alaska
China's interest in Greenland is purely commercial. They are not buying the rock but rather investing in it, trying to see if they can dig something. Canada is already mining gold

My guess is that the Jews of that time will split then, as now - ethnic centered vs $ centered - with the $ centered going with whatever is the apparent most profitable/safest choice.

In the context of Greenland no one is talking about buying and/or selling people except you. If Denmark wanted to sell Greenland they could and whoever lived there would now be under the banner of another nation. They would not have been sold. I don't know why this is so difficult for you to grasp.

The Danes sold us their West Indies holdings. Known today as the US Virgin Islands. Then the czar sold the US Alaska.
