US Imperialism Runs into Headwinds in Afghanistan

Who's said anything about removing the current population? A change in the sovereign power (the US for Denmark) yes, but the current residents would remain with their property holdings intact. Much the same way property owners kept their titles in the Virgin Islands and New Orleans with the Louisiana Purchase.
that is the only way to move the population. Either ship them back to mainland or sell them off together with the rock.
I find ignorance here by some reminding us that it happened in the past. Yes, we are not 100 years ago so just because it happened does not mean it will or can happen

They change their citizenship ,they are auctioned to US. Reeks of slavery.

Or forcibly turned to US citizens.

Yeah, you are creating a strawman argument. You are essentially making up things in your head and then objecting to them. Basically you are saying, "If the US were to buy Greenland the people living there would have to be relocated or turned into US citizens." Neither of these two things needs to happen. If your objections to the US purchasing Greenland is based on this line of reasoning, you should reconsider.

Buying rocks is not imperialism. That's @Squire Robertsson 's sideshows, totally irrelevant to a thread about Afghanistan.

US has failed in Afghanistan, they are begging the Taliban to negotiate because they discovered their expensive toys are no match for the battle hardened militants.

Nothing true about this post

If the basic topic is your take on "American Imperialism". then my Geenland question is a matter of thread drift not a "sideshow". I have little interest in refighting Afganistan. I would remind you of the Taliban Regime had turned over Osama bin Laden after 9/11 we wouldn't have gone in there chasing him. They should have remembered the Pershing's Punitive Expedition. When he led US forces chasing Pancho Villa after Villa raided Colombus, NM in 1916.

It’s a needless distraction. You contributed nothing about the subject country Afghanistan and much unsolicited sideshows on Greenland.

US has totally failed in extinguishing Talibans trillions of dollars later

The Brits got one Taliban leader from a mile away with a masterful sniper shot only a few months ago.

there were countless Vietnam movies to assuage the masses anger at another useless war. You think one or two isolated events mean anything? If they did then Brits and Americans should send thousands of snipers to take out all Talibans. Case closed;)

"Should send thousands of snipers"?

These people are not exactly an abundant commodity. They don't come from video games. Sheesh!
