Those are not poor people. Take a walk to box city.

So you have set yourself up as the sole authority of what defines a poor person.

Sounds a lot like a pity party to me.

‘We Don’t Have Any’ Problem of Illegal Immigrants Voting in U.S., Dem Congressmen Say

By Thomas Cloud
February 24, 2012

(CNSNews.com) - Two congressional Democrats who oppose tougher voter ID and voter registration laws told CNSNews.com that such laws are not needed because, they claim, documented voter fraud by illegal aliens is nonexistent.

The report also noted that in 2000, random checks by the Honolulu city clerk’s office found 200 registered voters who admitted they were not U.S. citizens. And in 2004, at least 35 foreign citizens applied for and received voter cards in Harris County, Texas, the report noted.

It's a nationwide problem.

So how does a voters card stop illegal voting? The illegals already have illegal identification. How will a law for a special card stop those so called illegal voting when they just get a false voter card?

Requiring ID to get a voters registration card as well as vote will cure the problem. Or do you just prefer that millions of illegals be allowed to vote and we do absolutely nothing to stop them.

You sound like a bleeding heart liberal with no solutions, your nose in the air, and your head in the sand. To me, that is. Poor guy.

Would you like for me to start a thread for you to spend some real time letting us all know exactly what "poor" is and just how "poor" you were. Evidently, No one else here knows.

One thing is for sure, a voter ID will have no adverse effect on the "poor" and you've offered no evidence that it will.

Back to the subject:

Obtaining an accurate assessment of the size of this problem is difficult. There is no systematic review of voter registration rolls by states to find non-citizens, and the relevant federal agencies—in direct violation of federal law—refuse to cooperate with state election officials seeking to verify the citizenship status of registered voters. Federal immigration law requires these agencies to "respond to an inquiry by a Federal, State, or local government agency, seeking to verify or ascertain the citizenship or immigration status of any individual within the jurisdiction of the agency for any purpose authorized by law, by providing the requested verification or status information," regardless of any other provision of federal law, such as the Privacy Act. However, examples of refusal to cooperate are legion:

Support your claims as to how ID cards will fix the problem. So how does a voters card stop illegal voting? The illegals already have illegal identification. How will a law for a special card stop those so called illegal voting when they just get a false voter card?

I know what she wrote and she was not poor.

Glad you to see you can't answer a simple yes or no question with "yes" or "no"

I've lurked here for a long time, despite my low post count. I've come to expect no less from you, even if I do think there is a time when you are on point with something.

Once you've started digging, you can't top and climb out. You just keep digging.

Why don't you tell us a foolproof way to stop this 100%?

Are you saying if we can't stop it 100%, we shouldn't do anything?

If so, that's fine. I respect that opinion if it is yours. Is that how you think?

Or are you just trying to defend the poor, lazy and illegal?

There is no way to stop it 100% and a requirement of ID cards will not even put a dent in it, but it will add an unnecessary law that can discourage and even hinder some from voting.
What needs to be done is round up every illegal, probably about 20 million or more today, put them in prison for 5 years making them support themselves and then deport them with no way to ever enter legally. That will do far more then any ID card and it has absolutely no possible way to put a burden on any legal voter. However the liberal agenda wants laws that are band aids while they claim to do something in the mist of burdening legal citizens.

You won't find me arguing with you on this one.

I personally would have no issue of carrying papers on me saying I'm a US Citizen.

Racial profiling is going to happen even in the most innocent of cases, but that's not really relevant to the topic at hand.
