I have said exactly why I do not vote. So you have no excuse for your comments. You have said why you don't vote. You have said so quite a few times. I have no need to ask you. You accusing anyone of dishonesty is funny. I thought @Salty told everyone to knock off the dishonesty accusations. That must fall into rules for me that don't apply to JohnnyC.
I said just that. Your not mingling in a political system you see as secular (not perfect) is "Letting the perfect become the enemy of the good." That is what I called you out on. I am not appealing to any Admin. Just pointing out to @Salty that you again called me a liar.I am perfectly confident he won't do anything about it.I have said exactly why I do not vote. So you have no excuse for your comments.
The explanation you are pointing to by me is that I praise God we have Christians in office but I am personally convicted not to vote because I believe I should abstain from secular politics as it is a worldly power.
If you knew that is my personal position then why did you post something entirely different?

I really have a hard time tolerating statements like this. I’ve seen this web being spun before, it always ends up the same. The hapless, (not because they are truly hapless but because they don’t expect to be waylaid by a moderator) the painfully honest people are the ones to leave the building, whether through personal choice or not. Fortunately, I have been here long enough to see how you play this game, & it is not something for you to be self-righteous about, but maybe someone will fall for it, who knows?! No sale today at my house.I have said exactly why I do not vote. So you have no excuse for your comments.

I suspect you have trouble tolerating statements like that only because it was my view Reynolds was misrepresenting.I really have a hard time tolerating statements like this. I have not lied about you. What I said was completely true. You simply do not agree with my application of terms. Report away. You the one who broke the rules. I am sure it will turn into rules for me and not for JohnnyC.No, that is not what I said.
I'm not talking about perfect vs imperfect.
What you said is false. Members can offer opinions about other members views, but members cannot define other members beliefs.I have not lied about you. What I said was completely true. You simply do not agree with my opinion about you. Report away. You the one who broke the rules.
We can always see originals.Nice try Jon C. Make sure that Salty has my originals to see. I did not change any meaning. I added Two words to one about 3 min after posting. You are truly a pitiful individual.
I did no such thing. Glad you have the originals. We can always see originals.
You walked back the part I called you out on.
That was good of you, correcting yourself.
Sure you did. I had called secular politics "secular". You went back and edited your post to redefine "secular" as "perfect" to support your argument.I did no such thing. Glad you have the originals.
I clarified meaning. I changed no meaning. As many times as you have rambled on about why you don't vote, do you really think I did not know why you didn't vote,? My context was plain.Sure you did. I had called secular politics "secular". You went back and edited your post to redefine "secular" as "perfect" to support your argument.
Ignoring that "secular" does not mean "perfect" (it means "of or relating to the worldly"), you were covering your tracks.
You just are not man enough to admit it. That is a Southern trait you apparently lack.
It isn't what the Dems say about Walker. I don't trust either side.
And I realize that good people lie. I know Walker was in the NFL spot light and may have felt pressure (even if self imposed).
But my main complaint against Biden (as a person, i.e., aside from his platform) was his integrity. That was one reason he failed in his previous runs for President.
How can I expect a higher degree of integrity from Democrat candidates than I would for Republican candidates? How can I pretend Walker is honest when I know he is not?
The answer, of course, is of I were a Republican (Republicans and Democrats ignore the flaws in their candidates while focusing on the flaws of their opponents). But I belong to neither party.
My complaint is not that Walker is a worse candidate than Warnock. You can't really get worse than Warnock.
My complaint is neither are good candidates for political office.
Georgia has better people, better potential candidates. They have to.
Doesn't matter. Christians should obey God regardless of the consequences. Kingdom work has to be done in Kingdom ways.People who withhold their vote help elect Dems. Nuff said...
I thought you understood as I was very clear.I clarified meaning. I changed no meaning. As many times as you have rambled on about why you don't vote, do you really think I did not know why you didn't vote,? My context was plain.
What about those heading in the wrong direction but under conviction? Or counting the cost? He who aids in the hindrance of Christ's ministry is building with things that will burn up.Doesn't matter. Christians should obey God regardless of the consequences. Kingdom work has to be done in Kingdom ways.
If a Christian is convicted to vote then he or she should vote. If convicted to abstain they should abstain.
No amount of rationalizing voting for a "lesser evil" should change anybody mind. They should obey God and let the chips fall where they may.
That is simple. If it is prohibited by God in Scripture then our conviction does not matter. What about those heading in the wrong direction but under conviction? Or counting the cost? He who aids in the hindrance of Christ's ministry is building with things that will burn up.
I'm just happy Stacey Abrams isn't governor. So, just saw an update with Walker up 50+% to Warnock 49%. He’s up by about 40 K votes with over 2,5 million cast.
Walker has a chance to pull this off. It would be a big upset, imo.
Of course, we will wait to see if they stop counting ballots for the night, then pull totes full of ballots from the closets after everyone leaves.
peace to you
