Looks like the race has been called for Warnock. Still, very close race in the end.

peace to you

I saw that on Fox. Dems have the Senate without GA anyway.

I like Trump's politics, but he has the potential to be the nail in the GOP coffin.

I was listening to Al Mohler's daily briefing earlier. The Dems had the Senate already but now, by having a real majority there are a lot of committee changes and so on they can use to their advantage which was not so easy with a tied Senate. I don't know why we can't come up with better candidates for races at the level of U.S. Senator!

I’m not so sure it’s bad candidates. We are watching the results of 50 years of a concerted effort by the radical left to indoctrinate our children through the public education system.

You know how successful they have been by the boldness with which they are pushing trans ideology to kindergarteners. How many parents see those stories and don’t think it’s a big deal, or even worse, take the side of the groomers?

We are living in interesting times.

peace to you

I just finished studying Daniel, looking at the last 3 chapters. The spirit prince of the United States is not a holy angel of God. We fight not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of darkness. Use your two offensive weapons, the word of God and prayer.

Of course the steal was in place again. Dems won by ballot harvesting.
In my county, Walker won with 70.4 percent.
Walker won every election day precinct.
Walker won early voting.
Warnock won mail in absentee.

In a county that is 70.4 percent walker, for absentee yo go Warnock, that is an obvious microcosm of the ballot harvesting that went on state wide.

I'm just happy Stacey Abrams isn't governor.
So, you care about secular Govt. You cheerlead for the elections. You don't participate??
Very consistent logic there.
If all us Christians in GA we're like you, Abrams would be governor.

The trouble with the public school system is that it is public. It will reflect the values of the people in the district. The last sentence says it well.

That is simple. If it is prohibited by God in Scripture then our conviction does not matter.

The Early Church abstained from many things out of conscious. They did not vote (under the Riman Empire they could for specific offices), they refused to hold office, and they refused to serve in the military. They suffered for their convictions. But their reasons were godly.

Christians vote, hold offices and serve in the military. And their reasons should also be godly.

The larger question is why a Christian would believe any secular political party is the mi istry of Christ.

The GOP has not attributed its political victories to God. They take the credit (and tell us about it when their term is towards an end). And that is fine, they should take credit because they are a secular power.

As for me, I do not believe any political party is the Kingdom builders you make the GOP out to be. Scripture seems to indicate otherwise.
63 Million dead babies
50,000 young Amaricans killed in Viet Nam
Schools that do not teach
I could go on and on.
And I did not say a political party is the ministry of Christ, I said one is the most anti-Christian, the Dems.

Care? Yes. I believe it is important that we remain informed.

Scripture teaches about worldly powers, about powers of darkness, etc. Scripture teaches us about sin, about immorality, about rebellion, etc. That doesn't mean Scripture teaches us that we should participate in those things.

By your (and @Van )reasoning a vote for somebody like Trump or a vote for a strong anti-abortionist is a vote for the Democrat Party because it would alienate voters who may otherwise vote GOP. You always must seek compromise - compromise your principles, co.promise your faith, compromise your political views.

You said "He who aids in the hindrance of Christ's ministry is building with things that will burn up". A statement we agree on. It was your application to Christians having to vote for anything that would combat a greater evil that made your comment anti-Christian.

The problem with your reasoning is that you forefit an amount of votes depending on the stance you choose.

If you support Trump then you support the DNC to the extent you lose GOP supporters.

If you support a very strong anti-abortionist who would fight tooth and nail to make abortion illegal nationwide then you support the DNC (same reason).

Yet you support abortion with your vote to a compromised extent so that your voice stands stronger against the DNC.

I cannot do that. To support killing a few babies in an effort to spare more babies is not something I can stand behind.

To declare that Roe vs Wade be overturned because the decision to kill babies should be a states right is not a declaration I can with good conscious support.

Make no mistake, @Van . While you and I are against abortion in principle you support the decision to kill babies as a state issue in practice. You support killing unborn babies as long as they are under 20 weeks old by your voice (15 weeks old by Grahams standard).

That is where we differ. I do not support abortion. Regardless of your views you support abortion to an extent. You compromise. I will not.

You talk about the blood on the hands of Democrats as if it justifies the blood on your hands.

One murdered child is one too many.

Here you are in the traditional sense "Letting the perfect become the enemy of the good.
One aborted Child is too many. One aborted Child is better than 1000 aborted Children. Kill an extra 999 because you can't save one more?

No. I am being realistic.

The GOP is trying to make abortion illegal after 20 weeks (Graham is more conservative, asking for 15 weeks but lacking GOP support).

This means tge GOP is striving to keep 75% of abortions in the US legal whike the DNC is striving for 100%.

Democrats who oppose abortion justify supporting abortion as a compromise for other values.

Republicans who oppose abortion justify supporting abortion as a compromise as well.

@Reynolds , you are willing to support making killing babies a state decision by your vote. You are willing to support keeping 75% of abortions legal, by your vote.

I am not. I WILL NOT support killing children. For me, this is an area I simply am not willing to compromise.

You say I am letting the Perfect stand against the "good". I am, in the sence that I am letting the Perfect (Christ) stand against what you consider "good" (a lesser evil).

It is a process. Eat the elephant one bite at a time.
By my interpretation of COTUS, unless you stretch the 14th A just a smidge, the issue is a state issue.

Point is, in the process you are actively supporting abortion.

The reason I say it is not a state issue is I do not believe the decision to kill children belong to the state. It does not belong to the federal government either.

So you are actively seeking to make a fraction of abortions illegal while keeping most abortions (20 week gestation or younger) legal because that is a step in your process (a process that has been going on in our nation for over 60 years).

You and @Van condemn me because I refuse to support abortion, even if in a process or compromise.

I will not support killing a million babies in support of a policy to save thousands. I will not do it. Period.

You can say you support evil towards a better good. But that does not justify the blood on your hands.

I take what I can get. The states now get to decide. The federal standard may be 20 weeks, but many states are much less. SC and Ga both have tough anti abortion laws now.

If every Christian stayed home through the next three election cycles? Where would this country be? Though the political system is far from perfect, it is our only viable option.

Of course spreading The Gospel is the long term solution, but churches sucking pretty royally at that.

Probably no difference. Looking at demographics the "Christian vote" is no different from another vote (otherwise there would be no DNC).

Atheists, Jewish, Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, Muslims, Buddhists....there are plenty of these that hold secular values align with Christian values.

The downside to Christians voting to keep most abortions legal at a federal level and keep the abortion as a state option is it compromises the church in the long run.

Not totally correct - Most of what is required in school is based on what the State/Commonwealth Education Dept demands.
And when it comes to the School budget - about 90% is fixed and very little is based on the local school district needs.

If Christians stopped voting, the GOP would disappear.
