This is true, but would you say somebody straight in the face that a beloved person is in hell knowing that this will cause even more suffering? I mean even if it's pretty clear I would try not to cause even more grief and simply say that maybe the person repented before they died. This way they can at least hope and don't have to think about a beloved person being in hell all day. I think this is hard to deal with. Imagine a beloved person dies and you know she wasn't saved and then you think about this person now being in hell. How do you even deal with this? This must be terrible.

So, rather than speak the truth in love, we are suppose to disobey God and lie to someone telling them their loved one shot themself and is in heaven?

No, thank you! I will speak the truth.

I think maybe an "I dont know" might be in order there.

didw, If a depressed person receives medication (anitdepressant) and they get better, did the demon leave the person? If so, why? Did the medication calm the demon as well? I don't understand how this works. Please explain.
Great point! And if they bite, then the next step this would lead to will be using medication indicates a "lack of faith", (even if you try to argue it may not be possession, but just listening to their lies); again, agreeing with the faith healers!

Since God's Word says 'all murderers have their part in the lake of fire', If one murderers himself and I tell their loved one I do not know where they are, I would be lying.

No thank you.

I would not reccommend to anyone that they take pills for depression. Jesus is the only real peace. I am in great err if I send a depressed person to a head shrink to get rid of their depression.

What they need is a closer walk with Jesus, not pills.

You did not answer the question. Why do people get better when they take medication? Where does the demon go?

OK let me get this straight.

You are saying that if a mentally ill person commits suicide then they are going to Hell forever and ever?

you're the kind of christian which I wouldn't want to have to do with in real life. maybe you think you're ultra-radical and righteous and what else not but these stubborn, ignorant, harsh statements are simply repelling. you would most likely even bash a depressed christian and tell him that he's demonized and that he lacks faith and that he needs no pills but all he needs is to "get closer to Jesus"....

Since Jesus would not placate sin, I bet you would not hang around with Him either.

Wow, you have a Jesus complex. Do you really think you are like Jesus?

Oh boy, oh boy!!! :BangHead:

You are a cold, harsh know-it-all, that's what you are. You show no mercy or meekness and also no empathy. All you can do is condemn and feel good about it and picture yourself as great fighter for Christ. The "speaker of truth", the "iron soldier", the "last sincere christian on earth". People like you can cause more harm than they do good. It's sad but true. Please, pray for prudence and empathy.

I am sure Christ would say the some. He commands us to rebuke and reprove, exhort with all longsuffering... not pat one on back and agree that sin is not sin

well actually, I think that again, both sides are at the extremes.

You have to take into account (well I guess you dont HAVE to) but anyway, you have to take into account that the Bible DOES talk about demon possession and how the demonic was acting pretty mentally unstable, cutting himself and all of that...... and so SOME cases are truly stemming from demonic possession...

On the other hand, other cases are coming from chemical imbalances and things like that...

I hate to see both sides call the other names and so forth... I think you are ALL pretty pig-headed ... sometimes you need Jesus and other times you need Jesus and pills.

It would be pretty bad to be demon possessed and be trying to take pills for it and by the same token it would be just as bad to be needing pills and going around trying to get rid of demons. There truly ARE such things as demons, you know? If you dont think so you are calling Jesus a liar. And the other fellow needs a little common sense here about taking medications, as sometimes it is needed.
