Michelle said "You are defending gnostic unbelievers."

False witness.

--------------------------------------------------

Your posts are self-evidence that you are defending gnostics.

The evidence strongly points to you spinning evidence to make them appear as gnostics. The evidence strongly points to them being orthodox. The evidence strongly points to you bearing false witness.

I haven't spun anything. The evidence and truth of this matter speaks for itself. Who is the one guilty of bearing false witness?

You have not provided evidence! You have provided slander, 4th-hand out of context quotes, and guilt by association. You reject first-hand writings because of your preconception. You have provided false witness.

You claim they did not believe in heaven. Provide the first-hand quote. If you cannot, you need to repent and retract your statement.

You claim they did not believe Jesus was God. Provide the first-hand quote. If you cannot, you need to repent and retract your statement.

You claim they believe Jesus was only "enlightened with the Christ". Provide the first-hand quote. If you cannot, you need to repent and retract your statement.

Very informative post, HankD! I wonder if it will receive a response, let alone an admission that her claim was wrong.

To use her own words, she just doesn’t understand because she doesn’t understand…

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

King James, the KJV translators, Wescott, Hort, HankD…

This is folly looking into the life of any mortal man (Christ accepted) to commend them to God for the worthiness of their person or their work unless so commended by God himself who knows the hearts of all.

Hopefully she will see that soon.
Yes, folly on my part as well to show this truth:

KJV 2 Corinthians 10:12
For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

NASB 2 Corinthians 10:12
For we are not bold to class or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves; but when they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are without understanding

Michelle:And you are ignoring ALL OTHER EVIDENCE that speaks to the contrary, and them claiming I am slandering and bearing false witness. It is you who is guilty of this.

Michelle, YOU'Ve plainly shown your true colors in several manners. First, you reject evidence from your very own fave Bible, the KJV, which explains that Passover and the feast of unleavened bread are synonymous, and that the observance lasted 7 days, with several other ceremonies ordained to be observed within those 7 days. This shows you simply do NOT want to comprehend the TRUTH. And you said I was "autographs-only". But when I asked you to please paste any post from anywhere in which I said that, you refused to answer. This shows us your level of honesty.

I believe your credibility has bottomed out on this board, and you're only trying to go BELOW bottom with your latest set of empty perorations.

You say you're NOT KJVO, but you follow their party line to the letter...and when asked, since you say you're not KJVO, what other specific version(s) you recommend, you also refuse to answer. After such plain examples, do ya REALLY expect anyone to believe you, especially since you provide us to a link whose site is nothing but the same ole 30 + KJVO garbage which was shot down the first month it was published?

We have concluded that you simply have no idea what you're talking about. I understand you've not been a Christian very long, but I DO know you have a LOT OF BASIC THINGS TO LEARN about the Bible.

Michelle: The KJB translators murdered no one.

Some day, you may meet some Baptists who disagree vehemently.

The KJB translators did not have these heretical views.

At least one(Thompson) was a drunk. And MOST of'em were Neo-Catholics.(Anglicans)

The KJB translators believed in the deity of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and the infallibility of his words. Westcott and Hort did not.

You were provided a link that proved otherwise, from their own writings. But as usual, you're simply "non comprehende".

And it's moot, anyway. God can use ANYONE for ANYTHING. He used several pagan nations to punish His people, and He used the already-evil Judas.

Askjo: Hort did not believe that the Christ is God.

I assume you'll never blast a modern version for saying, "The Christ"?

Actually, you and they are both correct, as there is ONLY ONE true Christ.

Michelle:No. But their life and actions, and involvements say and show the opposite of what was written in that.

But...you have NO IDEA what either of those men DIED believing.

Slambo:I cant honestly say if Askjo is correct or not, but,I've never read any clear cut testamony from either of them concerning their conversion to Christ.Anyone have any info on that???

Looks as if RSR presented the closest testimony we have. But, VERY FEW of our conversions are recorded in public record on earth.

Michelle:Here is another link that I came across last night, that are eerily close to what Westcott and Hort said and what they also studied, and to whom people they were associates with seemed to believe. Please, dear christian, before reading this link, pray for discernment. As the following link is very gnostic.

Michelle, do you have any clue who the Essenes were? They were a sect of Jews, along with the Pharisees & Sadducees. They practiced extreme observance of the OT law, but also believed in MAGIC, and the sorcerers encountered by Peter and by Paul were Essenes.

I don't believe W&H had anything to do with them. But you're so desperate to find ANYTHING to attack W&H that you'll stoop to any depths.

Michelle:Just as many heretics and apostates have done, and continue to do. By their fruits you shall know them.

And by YOUR POSTS(fruits of your mind) WE know YOU! You're always telling us that left is right, dark is light and a car is a moose...and wonder why no one believes you any more.

Is it nearly as unkind as the things Michelle is saying about dead men who cannot defend themselves? Is it as unkind as Michelle judging men's salvation based on her bias against their beliefs on the scriptures?

Michelle is willingly deceived. She is so desperate to hang on to her KJVO beliefs that she will not even consider that these men's views might have been misconstrued.

Lancelot Andrewes and George Abbott were members of the High Commission Court and were KJV translators. Abbott became Archbishop after Bancroft died. A follower of Lancelot Andrewes, William Laud (1573-1645), who was a leader among the younger Anglicans during the reign of James, would become the Archbishop during the reign of Charles I, James's son. Frere described Laud as "the man who was to take up Andrewes' work and carry it out into practice by energetic means" (English Church, p. 371). Some of us question whether the High Commission Court with its "distinguished" members such as some KJV translators and several Archbishops ought not to be compared to the Inquisition of the Church of Rome, the “mother church” of the Church of England.

Lancelot Andrewes and George Abbot while on the High Commission Court, presided over the High Commission Court proceedings where Bartholomew Legate and Edward Wightman were tried for their heresies. Abbot and Andrewes urged that Legate and Wightman be burned at the stake, and King James approved their decision and had them burned in 1612.

On the 18th of March, 1612, Bartholomew Legate, an Arian, suffered at the stake in Smithfield; on the 11th of April, in the same year, Edward Wightman was put to death at Lichfield, in the same manner . This man, if the warrant for his execution may be believed, was a wholesale heretic, for he was charged with “the wicked heresies of Ebion, Cerinthus, Valentinus, Arius, Macedonius, Simon Magus, of Manes, Photinus, and of the Anabaptists, and other arch-heretics; and, moreover, of other cursed opinions, by the instinct of Satan excogitated, and heretofore unheard of.” He maintained “that the baptism of infants is an abominable custom,” and “that Christianity is not wholly professed and preached in the Church of England, but in part.” …

Another person, said to be a “Spanish Arian,” was also condemned to die; but so much sympathy had been expressed by the people at the other executions, that “he was suffered to linger out his life in Newgate, where he ended the same;” for “King James politically preferred,” says Thomas Fuller, “that heretics hereafter, though condemned, should silently and privately waste themselves away in the prison, rather than to grace them, and amuse others, with the solemnity of a public execution, which in popular judgment usurped the honor of a persecution.” Fuller had before observed that “such burning of heretics much startled common people,” and that “the purblind eyes of common judgments looked only on what was next to them (the suffering itself), which they beheld with compassion, not minding the demerits of the guilt, which deserved the same.” [18] Thus wrote a Protestant clergyman of the seventeenth century; but murder is murder, however perpetrated, whether by the sword, the fire, or the slower process of the dungeon.

16 These six [things] doth the LORD hate: yea, seven [are] an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness [that] speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Michelle, When are you going to deal with this? It was presented on another thread and as I predicted you disappeared without response only to come back with the same false arguments later... having never dealt with this information.

Will you deal with this or am I right about your being willfully deceived?

Granny, many of us here at the BB admire michelle for her tenacity and courage taking on the heavy weights almost single-handed here at one of the BB debate boards and she has thrown her share of punches, besides that, she chose to get in the ring and put on the gloves of her own free will.

They were following Kings orders and the law. Another thing you continue to ignore, is why these men were burned. These men were being disobedient and rebellious. They were instigating revolt against the King. Not only this, but these same Puritans, who were persecuted for their rebelliousness then, then came to America to persecute others. This was a political issue, not only religious. Did you know that there were freemasons infiltrating the churches then, and instigating these things? Did you know that the King was against freemasonry because he Knew it was witchcraft?

This has nothing whatsoever to do with the translators, or the translation of the word of God into our language. It is irrelevant and quite different than that of Westcott and Hort. The KJB translators were christian and believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and his word of truth. Westcott and Hort did not.
