I got (my mother bought) The Da Vinci Code. After hearing all the pro and con about it, I wanna see what the fuss is about. I am on chapter 15 thus far. And it seems like a thriller type story. I haven't gotten into the deeper unsettling parts. Apparently Jesus and Mary Magdalene have a love scene or something in it? Whatever. Anyway, I think it's purely a novel. Just a book. Not the bible or a bible for that matter. It holds no...what's the word.... persuasion to me visa've faith and whatnot. But I guess for some it does. How sad that is.

Marriage, Divorce and Remarriage in the Bible by Jay Adams. An excellent book for starter topics in a adult interactional Sunday School.

1776 by David McCullough just read a few pages so far but it seems really good.

Born for Battle by R Arthur Mathews. An out of print classic on Spiritual Warfare.

I just finished the 12th, and final book in the "Left Behind" series. It has been a long journey.

I will now start a new novel, this time some secular fiction for a change.

    great reading!

I just completed Revelation! Yea! Cant remember how many times I've completely read through the bible but each time is greater and more informative than the last! Tomorrow I'll begin Genesis once more!

Also I'm reading The Cross Centered Life by CJ Mahaney and I so far have found it convicting and challenging as well as comforting! Truly a wonderful book though a small, concise one!

Also, I'm reading Precious Remedies against Satan's Devices by puritan Thomas Brooks. Wonderful book, wonderful writer!

I'm reading Communion with God by John Owen as well and to whom would choose to live closer to God, understand and know Him better this is a great book. Dr RJK Law did this abridgement and it is very readable and enjoyable.

Also I'm participating in a study of Grow in Grace by Sinclair Ferguson and when we consider the scripture that speaks of Christ continuing to grow in wisdom, grace and stature it is mind boggling to me! Thus I want to do the same!

Just finished "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis. Before that I read "Hard to Believe: The High Cost and Infinite Value of Following Jesus" by John MacArthur.

I just picked up a book at the library called 'The Anatomy Of Fascism' by Robert Paxton. I hope nobody was watching. Wouldn't want to end up on the list.

Just read The Reformation for Armchair Theologians by Glenn S. Sunshine.

I have also ordered The Myth of a Christian Nation: How the Quest for Political Power Is Destroying the Church by Gregory A. Boyd. Having read several reviews of this book, I am really looking forward to reading what Pastor Boyd has to say on this subject since his views on this subject seem to in line with my own.

Finished it. Great book to read if you work with older children / youth. Some of the statistics of churched youth are mind boggling.

I am currently re-reading Chosen By God by RC Sproul. I am almost finished with it again. It is even better the second time around. I highly recommend this book.

I am also reading at this time The Emerging Church by Dan Kimball. Haven't made it too far on this one, but so far, I am mostly unimpressed with it.

Will continue reading War Stories III: The Heroes Who Defeated Hitler by Oliver North after I am finished with the Sproul Book.
