I have just started the Book Godchasers by Tommy Tenney.
I am a little behind the times since most of my friends read this book 2 or more years ago.

FH,

I just finished reading the current issue of "Israel My Glory" from the Friends of Israel ministry.

I've recently finished up Doug Stauffer's "One Book Stands Alone" which I really enjoyed. It deals with the KJV compared to other versions.

A few weeks ago, I purchased the entire Bible on audio CD, and have been reading along with Alexander Scourby. It is a real treat to follow along as he reads. I just finished Genesis and Exodus and will begin Leviticus this evening.

Oh, and I just got (today) John Macarthur's new book "Truth Matters." Although I do not agree with some of his teaching, he is one of my favorite Bible teachers and I have gleaned much from him over the years.

Gershom,

I will look forward to hearing what you thought of your new book. I have several "on the go" at the moment and have just ordered "Paul in the Roman World: The Conflict at Corinth" by Robert Grant from Amazon. One of my favourite authors is Tom Wright, are you familiar with his works?

Blessings

I am reading:

Mere Discipleship, by Lee C. Camp

Changed into His Image, by Dr. Jim Berg

Crypto, How the Code Rebels Beat the Government:Saving Privacy in the Digital Age
by Steven Levy

And another cryptography reference that I don't want my name associated with, in case Big Brother is watching.

I just finished reading Washing of the Feet of the Saints by J. Matthew Pinson. I'm putting a review of it on my "Seeking the Old Paths" blog (link below). I have now started More than Just a Name by R. Stanton Norman. This book is about what makes a Baptist a Baptist -- Baptist distinctives. It is good in that Norman does not just give his opinion of what are the Baptist distinctives, but surveys and reviews other writings of that genre. I prefer it over Shurden's The Baptist Identity. I recommend both Pinson's and Norman's books to those who are interested in these two topics.

I have been on a leadership in the church conquest and have recently read.

Mentoring and Modeling by Goetsch and Rasmussen a great read for any Christian teachers or youth people out there.

Guided by Grace Dr Paul Chappell a great book for local church leaders

A Biblical approach to management by Myrun D. Rush a good book for business owners or those in management within the secular world. There were some great identifiers of trends that can be seen even in local churches.

Great to see someone reading Tozer. I hope it is a blessing to you. I don't see many of his books around these days, which is such a shame. I only have three of his books and I am always on the lookout for more.

Blessings

Celebration of Discipline by Richard Foster--The best read I've had in years. I highly recommend it.
