Re-reading. The Case for Biblical Christianity by the late E.J. Carnell....the greatest scholar of modern Christendom. He died far too young at 47 years in 1967.

Cheers,

Jim

Not really a book, but should be read. I just read"On The Establishment Of Religion: What The Constitution Really Says" By Alan Keyes. You can download a copy at www.RenewAmerica.us
I'm going to go through it a couple of more times. I also pulled "Worship Is A Verb" by Robert Webber of the shelf and will begin that soon.

I just finished The Open by John feinstein - it is a behind the scenes look at the 2002 US Open golf tourney at the Bethpage Black golf course - the 1st real public golf course to host an open (Fenstein does not include pebble beach at $175/round as a public course) Tiger won - great book, very little time is devoted to the actual golf.

The Shape of Sola Scriptura, (2001) by Keith A Mathison A comprehensive study of the history and defense of the Protestant doctrine of “Scripture alone”.
Reading is dry yet with enough interesting morsels to keep you going.

Skeletons on the Zahara, (2004) by Dean King A true story of the survival of a group of men shipwrecked off the west coast of Africa in 1815. Truly a horrifying ordeal that delves deep into the depravity of man.
The original narrative of this story, written by a survivor, is among the early readings of Abraham Lincoln and influenced him greatly.

Hi Deacon.... LOVED that book by Mathison.... it really changed and clarified my understanding of sola scriptura, as well as giving me a very thorough view of the early Roman church, and how it has abandoned what their own early authorities taught... and also the reason and intrigue behind their teaching of papal infallibility.... excellent book!!
