Jesus explains WHY the present 6th Day continues:

I'm also willing to concede that there may be an "apparent age" to the universe, but that it's much better to believe God's word than "what seems to be".

I hold to apparent age and was a little surprised by how theistic evolutionists hate it as an attack on the "scientific enterprise."

In my opinion, they always do and always will.

To me, "theistic evolution" is nothing more than a compromise between man's attempts to discover the age of Creation, and God's declarations as found in Genesis.

I was more shocked at how some more biblical Brethren hate it just as much.

You won't get that same reaction from me.

But, I must ask..."what is apparent age, exactly?"
That things were designed by God to look old?

I either get acceptance as one type of young earth Creationism or full on arguments.

Take the amount of surface dust on the Moon...
Not much deeper than a boot tread, according to astronaut accounts.

If it were billions of years old, there would be a lot more meteoric dust having been accumulated.
That doesn't "look old" to me.

Then again, 6,000 years isn't exactly a short time, as far as humanity is concerned.
Lots of things can happen in that amount of time.
For example, scientists have only recently admitted that fossilization occurs rapidly and under tons of pressure...

Not over a terribly long period of time, as previously maintained.

I see nothing in God's word to make me doubt that He spoke everything into existence in 6 literal days.

If He says it was nothing at one time ( which it was ), and appeared, all laid out in an orderly fashion within the space of that time, then I believe it.

False, as the verses clearly show IF you actually read them:

Gen 2:4 ¶ These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

The Earth was made on the 3rd Day according to Genesis 1:9-10 Plants, herbs and Trees GREW on the 3rd Day according to Genesis 1:12. The verse above is definitely speaking of the 3rd Day.


Gen 2:7 ¶ And the LORD God formed man (Hebrew-Adam) of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Conclusion: On the 3rd Day the SAME Day the LORD made Earth, but BEFORE the plants, herbs and Trees GREW, the LORD made Adam of the dust of the ground and gave him life. Do you believe it was any other Day than the 3rd? If so, show chapter and verse. In order to confirm this conclusion, read the next 2 verses:

Gen 2:8 ¶ And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there He put the man whom He had formed. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree (Genesis 1:12) that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

False. God (Elohim-The Trinity) created Adam and Eve in His Image, which is a Spiritual creation.

Eve was made from Adam's rib on the 6th Day by LORD God. Genesis 2:22

BOTH Adam and Eve were created Spiritually, or born again in Christ, on the Day of Salvation, the present 6th Day/Age. Genesis 1:27 Genesis 5:1-2 John 14:16 God The Trinity, is an invisible Spirit, which NO man has ever seen. LORD God was seen by many people in both the Old and New Testaments. You have confused Adam's Spiritual birth with his Physical birth.

Un Scriptural since Adam's firmament, (1st Heaven) was made the 2nd Day. Genesis 1:8
The present 2nd Heaven was made on the 3rd Day. Genesis 2:4
The 3rd Heaven was also made on the 3rd Day. Genesis 2:4

The Stars were made on the 4th Day, Genesis 1:16 which was 180 million years, in man's time, AFTER the big bang of the present Universe. Scripture and Science AGREE if you have the correct interpretation.

What you don't know is that the FIRST 34 verses of Genesis tell us the complete HISTORY of God's 7 Day Creation, including events which take place AFTER Jesus returns at the Rapture. The entirety of the rest of the Bible from Genesis 2:4 to the end of Revelation "adds details" to the outline of the 7 Days/Ages of the Creation. The creation story ends at Genesis 2:3 when God rests or ceases to create from ALL of His work. That is WHY no one can explain WHY God would rest BEFORE His creation has been brought to perfection. God's rest is FUTURE to 2019.
