Can you name me two men born of the flesh who have been absolutely totally regenerated? Regenerated in that their isn't anything else needing for them to be in their ultimate being standing before God.
I disagree with you about being born again, the scriptures tell us we must believe. Immediately after telling Nicodemus he must be born again, Jesus tells him we must believe in vss. 15, 16, and 18. Some like to ignore this part of Jesus's conversation with Nicodemus.
And a little phrase that many overlook when Jesus compares the Spirit to the wind is, AND THOU HEAREST THE SOUND THEREOF. How can we hear the Spirit? By hearing God's word! Faith comes by hearing (our part), and hearing by the word of God (God's part). If you want to have faith, you must willingly listen to God's word and believe it. God's word doesn't magically regenerate all who hear it, else all men who hear the gospel would be saved. No, we must listen to God and believe him, and only then will he give us power to become sons of God (Jn 1:12).
It is like a brain surgeon who removes a tumor that would kill us, only the doctor has the skill and ability to do this, but we must trust him and allow him to operate.
Calvinists try to turn faith into a work when the scriptures always CONTRAST faith to works. They can call it a work all they want, but they are in error.
Trusting Jesus is simply coming to him in your heart and completely relying on him to regenerate you. We have no power to regenerate ourselves, but we do have the ability to trust ourselves to him.
Again, it is like going to a brain surgeon because you have a tumor that will kill you. The doctor alone has the skill and ability to heal you, but that will not do you any good unless you trust him and allow him to put you asleep and operate.
Nobody in their right mind would take credit for healing themselves, everyone naturally gives credit to the surgeon. I have never heard anyone brag about healing themselves when they had surgery, but I have heard many who give credit to the doctor for his skill, and for saving their life.

Putting our faith in Christ is actually ceasing to work. It is rest. Jesus said come to Me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.
There are two types of people, those who work and those who rest. We cannot work our way to the Father, we must rest in Jesus. For that reason alone, faith cannot be a work.
So you believe you have a part in the spirit birth? Do you also believe you had a part in the birth of the flesh? My guess no.
Why do those that believe not, not believe?
Just who is it that believe and why are they, as the Greek would put in the, ones believing?
Do the ones believing hear his voice and follow him?

Titus 3:6 Which (the HS) he (God the Father) shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
Meaning of through Jesus is he first received the promise and then it was shed on us. The truth: it is expedient for you that I go away.
Acts 2:32,33 This Jesus hath God (the Father) raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
The promises (inclusive of any promises man is to receive from God pertaining to life eternal) were made to Abraham and his seed Christ. Abraham has yet to receive the promise, however the promises were also to his seed Christ Gal 3:16 see also verse 19, to whom the promise was made, the promise of the Holy Spirit. Verse 23 states we might be given the promise of the HS, it could be shed on us the believing ones (see above) by Faith of Jesus Christ. The (definite article) faith. Verses 24 and 25 speak about before the faith came and after the faith came. Jesus is the Faith we hear about in the word of God by which we are given the Promise of the Holy Spirit because he died was resurrected (regenerated) renewed with the Holy Spirit, that is received of the Father the promise thereof, then it was shed on us through the Faith.

I am not stating that we can save ourselves, but failing to believe, will lead us straight to hell. It was that way with me for years. I knew that Jesus is coming back, I knew that I was going to hell if I died in my lost condition. God was showing me this all along. He was never forcing Himself on me, but was showing me that I needed Him more than my next breath. When I came to the TRUE realization of what He was telling me, I put my trust(belief) in His hands, and He saved me. The only thing we can do, is humble ourselves down under His mighty hand, and surrender our life to Him.
James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

It amazes me how when you talk to a Calvinist, they want to start with Genesis chapter three. Does their bible not have Genesis chapters 1 and 2 in them, or does theirs start with chapter 3??
They never bring up Deuteronomy chapter one(especially verse 39), Proverbs one, Luke chapter 15, etc. We always get Genesis 3, Romans 5, 8, 9,11, Ephesians 1, John 6, etc.
I think they order their bibles this way.....:laugh:

See Acts 15:14-18 What about the part of Israel who is blinded in part? Are they being called today or are they being made blind today for the purpose of God?
Do you think Paul repented before or after he was called on the road to Damascus?
It appears to me that this is the end result of what God is doing. Eph. 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; [even] in him:
Another question. Is God doing this by calling all now or is he going to being this about by beginning with the only begotten of the Father God the seed of Abraham electing and calling through him the Christ those to being about verse 10? See Eph 1 with Acts 15:14-18.

Confusing but YES!
Regeneration or new birth has to do with the "spirit" of man (Jn. 3:6) not his body and only with his soul as he "puts on" the new man. Therefore, that which is born of God (spirit) is perfected forever - cannot sin and that is the state of the spirit of man in all who are regenerated. What is born of God is created in TRUE RIGHTEUSNESS AND HOLINESS. Your body has not been created in true righteousness and holiness. Your soul has not been CREATED in true righteousness and holiness. What is born of Spirit is spirit.
This is the PAST TENSE "saved" aspect of salvation.

How is that different then what the Gnostics teach? The body and soul/spirt are seperate and the deeds of the flesh cannot touch the soul/spirit which is good.
Our old selves, ours sin natures will abide in us until the new glorified body God recreates us into...
We are positionally dead on the cross witrh Christ, His work of atonement applied towards our behalf, but up to us to make the "old man" stays dead!
You kind of have to read between the lines to put ("spirit" of man) in John 3:6 do you not? John 3:3 Except a man. if ever lest a one. Do you see spirit of man anywhere here.
