The record deficits were of Bush's making both during his administration and Obama's. We're still trying to rescue the coutry from the Bush depression. You supported a man who mouthed the right platitudes about abortion yet did almost nothing about it. One change he made didn't take effect until after he left office. If he was so much against abortion why did he waith 8 years to do the. Oh, the murder went on during the Bush administratioon and you supported it.

Then that good "Christian" president George Bush said twice that Muslims and Christians worship the same god and Muslims have a "different way to heaven." If Obama said this you'd go wild. Why did you keep on referring to that hypocrite Bush as a "Christian?" Or maybe you believe this heresy yourself?

Reread your own post. You posted a two paragraph rant about how I supported the Bush administration. May I ask where on earth you got that? The position about the two parties essentially being the same may not be popular, but it is consistant. As I pointed out in other threads, those who supported the Bush administration have been back and forth with me as much as the left wingers who support Obama have. There is nothing wrong with a difference of opinion, and I can at least respect the ones who are consistant and know why they take that position.

The bottom line is that you are all over the map. You are so focused on the Republican Party as the enemy that you do not even take the time to read and understand what others believe. Lets see, why don't others listen to you?

Perhaps a Pyrrhic victory.

One has to wonder if Wilson and his ilk are intent on committing political suicide - and in the process taking down with them the entire GOP - or if their prejudices are so deep that they just cannot help themselves.

Many believe that Wilson's outburst was planned to distract from the President's speech. If it was, the plan worked like a charm. Shamefully, media coverage of Obama's message became a sidebar to Wilson's disgusting show of coarseness.

The survey by Public Policy Polling found Democratic challenger Rob Miller leading the five-term Republican lawmaker by 44 percent to 43 percent. The numbers had Democrats cheering, and at least one pollster offering a new view of the contest in the heavily Republican South Carolina district.

“In a matter of seconds Joe Wilson turned himself from a safe incumbent into one of the most vulnerable Republicans in the country for 2010,” said Dean Debnam of Public Policy Polling, which conducted the survey of 747 voters in the congressman’s district.

Before his outburst his seat was considered a very safe one for the Republicans. Perhaps he can recover. Time will tell.

Joe Wilson's website is back online .... but he has removed the link to send him an e-mail. ROFL

Well, people may not be able to send him an email... but they sure are sending him money !

His fund hit a $1,000,000 since "calling out" the liar.

Now THAT is "ROFL" funny !!

In the British and Canadian parliaments, one has relative freedom of speech, and I can recall some dandies over the years, but one cannot call another member of parliament a liar. That is specifically banned and the person can be ejected immediately by the Speaker of the House.

You might recall the "fuddle duddle" of our former Prime Minister Trudeau when he actually swore in the House. It was the "f" word, but translated as "fuddle duddle".

Cheers, Jim

Yeah, that was a doozy, wasn't it Jim!

Whatever are you talking about?

And you wonder why no one listens to you. :tongue3:

You support a representative who openly calls the President of the United States a liar in a joint meeting of the congress. That certainly shows no respect for the current president but also show no respect for the office.

I see that logic is not one of your strong suits.

1. Agreeing with Joe Wilson that Obama lies does not equal support for Joe Wilson.

2. Not having respect for the current holder of the office of President due to his lack of good character and his destructive policies does not equal no respect for the office.

3. Neither condition described above equals hate for the United States.

4. An actual lack of respect for the current President or the office of President would not equal hate for the United States.

I for one hope that you keep regenerating yourself each time that you are banned from the board.

You are far too funny to loose.:laugh::tongue3:

Well alatide, it could be argued that you support a President who very openly supports abortion and that you have no respect for life.
