We are Christians, not pagans. Hanging a person from a tree does not evoke a curse from a god.

You need to look back at the actual reference in the OT. If a person were deemed stricken by God they were hung (typically after death) on a tree or post.

I was following Paul's New Testament application of the passage. But do you think that the Lord Jesus did not really die, and so somehow avoided the curse? And why do you think that there are three references in Acts as well as one each in Galatians and 1 Peter to Christ hanging on a tree? Scripture interprets Scripture, you know, and especially the NT interprets the OT for us. 'Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. There really is no way round this for you.

The point is the people considered Christ Cursed BUT He was dying for them.

The point, and the very clear context is that the people (rightly and reasonably) considered Christ cursed by God but did not understand the reason why, which Isaiah immediately explains :
'But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.' He was carrying the curse of God that lies upon sinners and expiating it. God Himself provided the Lamb without spot or blemish for the sacrifice. 'Because He had done no violence, nor was any deceit found in His mouth. Yet it it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He [and nobody else] has put Him to grief.'

They are reconciled BEFORE they come to faith, just as they are born from above BEFORE they come to faith:

6 For while we were yet weak, in due season Christ died for the ungodly.
8 But God commendeth his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
10 For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life; Ro 5

The "we“ in rednecks verses is the elect who inherit salvation in accordance with the new covenant. For "us" Jesus paid it all. For those not written into the covenant...there is no payment rendered.
