That is your personal opinion, however, the verse you quote is useless in this discussion unless you intend to interpret the verse and explain how it guarantees infants eternal redemption for their corruption.

This kind of teaching is what r1689 objects to.

As do I, but the truth on this issue is literally "God only knows"

There is your unique theology. You imagine that all humans start out in the book of life, but if/when they sin, they get expunged. There is no passage that corroborates your assertion. In fact, that thinking is strictly in the Pelagian camp.

One can use those scriptures to support that babies and infants are saved by the grace of God, but not with 100 surety!

You have no basis for that.

Ok, so you must believe all infants are to be cast into the lake of fire. What grounds do you have for their names to be in that book?

The Bible either speaks of names that are in some book or being blotted out. Never spoken of being added to any book in order to be saved.
    Matthew 18:3, John 3:4. 1 John 5:4-5, Revelation 3:5, Revelation 21:7-8.

So according to you the notion that Christ had paid for the sins of children too young to believe is Pelagianism.

According to Revelation 3:5 the name is promised not to be blotted out. Therefore the name was in the book before one overcomes and is born of God, 1 John 5:4-5.

A person can quote all sorts of verses out of context and claim it means something the author never meant.

Those whom God has adopted have been written from before the foundation of the world. (Ephesians 1) They are predestined by God's choosing. They will not be lost (John 10).

God does not show us this list. He does not declare that all infants are saved by grace. We must fall on His mercy and grace. We have no other assurance.

We disagree on some of the interpertations of the texts.
The adoption is future, Romans 8:23.
Without question it will be based on God's will and the finished work of His Son.
