On and on, Mr. Mikey denies the obvious. If a person is to subscribe to the views of the creed or confession, it is a litmus test.

Again you fail to answer any questions I pose. They are the most basic questions, yet you cannot answer them.

Throughout our conversation you have failed to provide any consistant argument to these questions. Can you do so now?

Can you give a definition of what a "what we believe" statment is?
Can you provide an explanation of how you thought the definition provided supported your position? (with specific focus on why you highlighted that specific part of the definition. What did you think it said?)
Can you explain how the definition of a "confession of Faith" differs from that of a "what we believe" statement?
Can you give any reasonable argument in how a confession is not a statement of faith?

Regarding the "litmus test".

Is it your claim that what makes a "statement of doctrinal belief" a confession is in its use as a litmus test? Thus a "what we believe" statement if used as a litmus test is infact a confession. And a Confession which is not used as a litmus test is infact not a confession. Is that right?

So when it comes time for your church to select a new pastor, the church will not use the "what we believe" statement to judge the theological doctrines which he holds to. Are you really saying that the church would select a pastor that disagrees with the "what we believe" statement and allow him to preach in contrary to the statement? I don't think so.

Do you not subscribe to the views of your church's "statement of doctrinal belief"? If you do then i guess you have just described a litmus test, thus making your "what we believe" a confessional statement.

You have shown over and over again that you fail to understand certain passages and verses correctly!
You have shown you disparage others because your views are unbiblical.
First, the people of Matthew 23:13 were entering the kingdom thus seeking God. You deny this obvious truth.
Second, Christ laid down His life as a ransom for all. You deny this obvious truth. 1 Timothy 2:6
God chooses individuals for salvation through faith in the truth. You deny this obvious truth. 2 Thessalonians 2:13.
Lastly, you deny the people of Matthew 23:13 were prevented from going in to the kingdom because of false teaching.

We are right now adopted children awaiting the final consumation God will give to us as his adopted, IER, glorification!
On and on Y1 posts falsehood after falsehood. No verse says or suggests we have been adopted. We are looking forward to our bodily redemption, our adoption.

Does your church hold to a statement of beliefs?
Link to your statement of beliefs, if you can. Otherwise stick with the published creeds and confessions you are so devoted to such as the Westminster Confession.

SNIP
.
The old "you did not answer my question" defense, which changes the subject to my behavior and ignores my posted position.
This is all they have folks, denial and obfuscation.

Primary and main theology text are the scriptures, but do also use the Confession !

Did God intend the death of Jesus to save all or some lost sinners?
