Good day my friend.

is the a reason we do this in this chat room. So many times I come in and see I have replies to me, then when I go to answer the thread is closed..

I am just wondering.

Normally, we close threads at 130 posts -
normally you are free to re-start on a new thread.

It is really sad that they cannot see the logical outcome of their theology or perhaps I should say they will not see it.

Unfortunately they do see it. Westboro Baptist is Calvinism perfectly practiced.

“God hates you!” is the truth in Calvinism.

The context does not say what you want it to say.

1Ti 2:1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,
1Ti 2:2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
1Ti 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
1Ti 2:4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Are Kings and those in authority not part of ALL MEN. You are reading into the text what you need to find so that it fits your theology.

Whatever.

Me not agreeing with you is not me not dealing with it.
Right, you not reading my arguments and addressing with them is you not dealing with it. Instead, you put forth strawman arguments that I have not actually made. So basically you are attacking a position I have not stated.

Yes, Romans 8:29, one of the STRONGEST arguments for the Calvinist position. That is foreknew, not foresaw. There is a difference. It is talking about a choice of someone known to Him. An intimate knowledge. One he has chosen. It has nothing to do with him seeing what we would do and making a choice.

You really do not understand English do you. Or is it that you can only read calvinese.

If this verse is one of your strongest then you really have problems .

If you say we believe something after we have told you that is not what we believe you have either misunderstood or are dishonest. That is NOT pointing out errors. It is strawman arguments.

Just because I do not agree with your theological point of view and point out the error in it does not make that a strawman argument. But you with it were one.

I do not have to read that to see calvinism on display. You may need other people to teach you what the words mean but I can read and understand the text just fine.

I actually read the article, perhaps you missed the "I think" in the article. That is just a calvinists opinion and carries no weight with me. When someone has to throw there ideas into a text instead of just reading it that should give you reason to pause.

Calvinism as I have seen it presented and having read a number of articles tends to add their own ideas to the text. Why do you think you have to help the Holy Spirit put forward His ideas. Don't you trust God to let us know what He wants from us, you know faith in His son.
