Our Son's wedding is Saturday, and we still have things to do for it, so both tonight and tomorrow night we'll be eating out, as we have time.

The Rehearsal Dinner is tomorrow night, and I'm NOT cooking for it [under Brenda's orders, since I've cooked for the entire family including her ex and his girlfriend three times this week.]

A garlic stuffed beef roast covered in onion roasted taters. Green beans for the veggie. I started it last night. The smell is obviously killing everyone as they've been running around since lunch, throwing themselves about in anguish and yelling "I'm huuuuunnnngggrrrryyyy!!!!! When's diiiiiiinnnnneeeerrrrr????!!!!!!!!"
I'm half tempted to serve cold cereal and tell them it still won't be ready until tomorrow, just to see their reaction!

"grilled fish, chicken lime couscous, and avacado citrus salad. "

I WANT THAT!!!!!!!!!!! How do you make the couscous chicken lime, and what do you put in an avocado citrus salad?! I love avocado, usually I put slices of it over cooled white rice and just add pepper and squeeze orange or lemon over it...occasionally add sun dried tomatoes.

actually I forgot I had intended on using lime, so there was no lime, but that would be easy.
I got the salad from a new book.
slicded avacado, sliced grapefruit(the red wasn't bad in this), slicded orange, arrange on top of lettuce, I didn't use a lot of lettuce to keep it mainly a citrus sald. sprinkle with chopped red onion. mix a dressing, 2T lime juice, 2T olive oil, a mint ( I used dry mint, cheaper), pour over the salad. It was really good, we liked it.

couscous, need unflavored couscous. saute fine onion in a little olive oil, add a little garlic, salt and pepper. add chicken broth and a lime juice(how much depends on how much you want to taste it), when it boils add the couscous stir well and turn it off and put the top on it, 5 minutes later, you got your own flavored couscous.

Thanks Donna, I'll be using that recipe for SURE! Yummy!

Tonight is hot dogs. Ew for three of us, yum for three of us, and hubby's missing from dinner so he can't give a yum or yuck.

I was in a cooking mood today. I cooked breakfast, lunch, and supper. I used a new recipe at each meal and all three are keepers.

Breakfast was a new hasbrown casserole (green peppers, onions, garlic, hasbrowns, eggs, cheese) and whole-wheat toast.

Lunch was Broccoli Cheese Soup w/Pasta (has Cream of Chicken and Cheddar Cheese soups in it, as well as most of a Kraft Deluxe Mac & Cheese Dinner) and sandwiches.

Supper was a Spinach Noodle Casserole (tasted like lasagna, could possibly be made into a diet version without killing it), green beans, and garlic bread.

It all sounds yummy Trotter.
we had leftovers, lasagna, garlic bread and salad.
I'm afraid Sunday night will be leftovers as well, lasagna and some stuffed green peppers from the freezer.

I was in a cooking mood today.

Trotter: When another of those moods hit you - come on over to our house. I could use a day off!

I hung a sign in the kitchen: Kitchen Closed...Cook is Sick...of Cooking!

BTW, Cabbage Dump is still a favorite at our house! :)
