A funny story I've been think of lately. When I was little mom used to make 'casserole', vegetable soup mixed with ground beef and topped with mashed potaotes and baked. She only called it casserole, i grew up thinking there was only one casserole, mom's. Think of my surprise when as a young wife try to learn to cook when I find out Betty Crorcker has 'casserole' and it isn't mom's recipe, there were hundreds of casseroles out there. And I never knew it.

That's funny about your Mom's "Casserole" donnA.

Tonight is AuGratin Potatoes and Ham, Country Corn Casserole, Kentucky Spoon Bread, and Pumpkin Pie for dessert.

The Kentucky Spoon Bread is something new. My MIL gave me the recipe, and I'm finally getting around to trying it.

My mother-in-law is sick (she lives with us), so things are nice and easy. We had chicken tenders and tater tots yeasterday. Not sure about today's menu as I will be asking what she would like to have in just a bit.

Homemade cheeseburger macaroni, sweet potatoes, and boiled squash with vidalia onions, and no-bake cheesecake for dessert. I meant to make some cornbread but didn't have time before my wife had to leave

Stir fried pork and vegetables over fried noodles. Maybe a milkshake for dessert tonight after meditation at church.

Tonight was the Young At Heart seniors' group Thanksgiving dinner and my mother-in-law brought me home a plate. I don't know what's in it yet (about to go find out), but all the cooks in our church are awesome. ;)
