another American is with us....any thoughts to make this a meal that would be "home like" for them?

Talk smack about Obama while you serve it.

Tonight if fettuccine Alfredo. This is my first time making it, since I don't really like it. It sure uses enough cream!

I am, of course, taking it and adapting it so nobody else will like it either. It's a mom thing. I give 'em what they ask for, then I do stuff like put it over grilled chicken and top it with steamed asparagus. MWAH HA HA HA! Actually that might be good. I don't have the asparagus, but I did make the grilled chicken already. I'll just do the veggies we have, but next time, I'm doing the asparagus! hmmmmm

Fighting with this bout of pneumonia, we've been mostly eating soups and salads, but this morning, I put a pork roast, potatoes, and carrots in the crockpot and took a sugar-free pumpkin pie out of the freezer (I make several at a time and freeze them for later).

LOL, of course it is, whatelse would you expect from this fine array of chefs we have here on the BB.

A lot of the stuff yall make, much like the food network recipes, will probably never be attempted in my kitchen. I do most of the cooking, and it's usually something I shot or whatever I can fit in the crock pot or frying pan.

It's not hard cooking most of what we do, they just have nice names. Most everything I cook about anyone else could cook.
Now FoG he's the real chef here.

Many thanks for the compliment donnA, but a real chef would look at me the same way a bird-watcher looks at a crow.
