I was going to order Chinese, but just really don't feel like having it tonight. I know...WEIRD! LOL!

Might just be pickin's, but we did have a big lunch. I bought a crab and we had udon and asparagus. It was SO nice to find fresh asparagus in the store!

Stand up chicken= ever heard of beer can chicken? I've done that on the grill several times, no beer, sometimes an empty can, sometimes some liquids in the can (don't recall what though). I have a wire stand for the can to keep the chciken from falling over also, so really no can even needed. But I saw on foodnetwork once they used a bunt pan, put the chciken on it and grilled it. So I bought one at a yard sale for 25 cents, and it works great, the grease collects in the pan and doesn't make your grill falre up. So I am going to try this in the oven, cover the center hole with foil. You rub spices all over, and it browns and gets crispy all over the skin, not just parts, yet moist and tender inside. Worth an attemp in the oven.

I'm going to give this a try tonight. It sounds really good. I'll use the bundt pan.

It's well worth the effort Rob, mine was tender and juicy inside and golden cripsy outside.

Tonight is turkey italian sauage cooked with peppers and onions, and probably on top of some pasta. If I use the pasta I'll probably add a can of shopped tomatoes. sounds good doesn't it,, I hope so anyway.

Whilst on holiday I bought a grill pan in a junk store.....very cheap because it was very dirty.
I have scrubbed and scrubbed and now have a decent cast iron pan for $10.00 rather than for the better part of $100.00 so

I shall have a nice cut of lamb with smashed potato, greens and gravy tonight:thumbsup:

made a new recipe, chicken with lentils and brown rice, spices and onions, it was really good, except I didn't ahve ground cardamon, which has a big flavor so I'm sure it was really missing it. Going to get some and make it again.

Tonight we're having hamburgers, fresh pineapples and grapes, and bread--except for my youngest. She believes ketchup is a food group all by itself.

Donna, we ate at a ethnic restaurant last week that served rice and lentils cooked together with some onion and olive oil. I couldn't believe how delicious and filling it tasted. It's supposed to be very healthy, too.

We had a new recipe, chicken cordon blu casserole, potaotoes, and corn(since the casserole didn't have any veggies in it).

I've gotten to where I love lentils, I've made soups and everything I find a suitable recipe for. I do usually chose brown rice now, it's healthier then white rice.

I want to make something with shrimp tonight but don't know what, any suggestions?
I will actually be making a dessert, we found some fresh balckberries on sale and Rob asked for blackberry dumplings.
