I am currently a machinist; I work in a tool and die shop. I began my machinist career when I was 20 years old back in 1972. I have done many things during this past 33 years including substitute teaching for 5 years while I completed my Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Houston. I have recently returned to my roots as a machinist, at least while there are machine shops still here in America.

As a side note, I am very impressed with the talent on this board and appreciate knowing the occupational backgrounds of people I've been posting to. Excellent original post.

This thread doesn't seem like it should be in the Debate forum. Maybe the forum for Other Discussions?

Could be that some of the posters in here stick with the Baptist Only forums so it is a bigger response.

Seems like there are a lot more white collar workers than blue coller workers who post here. I wonder why?

It is because we are mostly Republicans who have never worked an honest day in our lives. Howard Dean said so the other day... [IMG]

    To Magnetic Poles:

In your posting about some of the jobs you had, you mentioned something to the effect that you were at one time a telecom consultant. You then said that, as a result of this you knew something about what SS7 is.

I suppose that was because I had earlier posted that my job involves dealing with troubleshooting SS7-related equipment.

Then you seemed to indicate that you thought I am someone whose BB screen name is "Br Curtis."

Sorry, but I'm not "Br Curtis." :(

I've read some of his postings here at BB [IMG] , and I'm sure he's a fine brother in the Lord, but he's not me.

Just wanted to point out an apparent case of mistaken identity. [IMG]
