Your thinking and logic is warped. It is the same thinking as Satan.Originally posted by Me4Him:
Let's see if you are correct.
Joh 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
If Jesus is a "son of God", and a "God", and we're "Sons of God", what does that make us, "A GOD".
He gave them "dominion" that is to be good stewards over the earth. It was satan who told them that they were gods. Thus you believe in a Satanic doctrine.(we'll not mention the "Stewardship" (Godship) God gave Adam over the earth)
Says who? Is this another message from Satan?Being the "Body of Christ" and "Sons of God", entitles us to sit on the "right hand" of the throne with Jesus.
This privilege is given to them that are heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. Those that are born again are part of the family of God, but that doesn't make them god. To even suggest such is blasphemy. This is why we are given "THRONES" to sit and "RULE" along with Jesus during the Mill reign.
And so the believers will. But that doesn't make them gods.Re 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them:
and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
That is not how Adam began. Are you a Mormon?Just as God sits on his throne and rules, so will we, as 'gods" over the whole earth, The way Adam begun.
No it won't. Do you understand English and its literary devices. The expression "AS the waters cover the sea," is a similie, a comparison. It does not say that any water will cover the earth as you suggested. It does say that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the earth, and that is all.Hab 2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
BTW, that same "water" Jesus gave the woman at the well to drink, the "Knowledge of the Lord", is the "water" that will again cover the earth, but it's "Spiritual water" not literal water as in Noah's flood.

And what would make us Gods, spirit of God inside?
I will be like the most High.
Satan said the above, but God/Jesus said "I" would be like the "most high", even the
'Righteousness of God".
Ro 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ
Inheriting everything Jesus inherits, even "reigning" over the world.
Haven't you heard of "conforming to Jesus image"??
I'd say you have a problem understanding the "Trinity", especially how it's used to explain the scriptures. There is only one God! To say otherwise is blasphemy.
Ge 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods,(we'll not mention the "Stewardship" (Godship) God gave Adam over the earth)

Ge 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, (Trinity=God)
Joh 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
It "appear", Satan, God, Jesus all three said we were "Gods", but you say we're not, evidently a slight misunderstanding of what was really meant???
Is Jesus God, will he be sitting on his throne during the MK and will we also be sitting on thrones, being his "Right hand man" exercising authority over the earth as rewards???Being the "Body of Christ" and "Sons of God", entitles us to sit on the "right hand" of the throne with Jesus.

Ya know the Jews said the same thing when Jesus said he was a "Son of God".This privilege is given to them that are heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. Those that are born again are part of the family of God, but that doesn't make them god. To even suggest such is blasphemy.
Joh 10:24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.
Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one.
31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and [because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
Joh 10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
now I'll quote your words: To even suggest such is blasphemy
The Jew understood that to be a "son of God" made one as one with God, and wanted to stone him, which Jesus reminded them of PS 82:6.
Ps 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
Php 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Php 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
If I'm going to have the "mind of Christ", thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Why?? it is God which worketh in you
Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one.
Applies to all "Sons of God".
"IN CHRIST, BODY OF CHRIST" makes up a third part of the "TRINITY".
Like the Jews, you're wanting to throw rocks before you know what you're talking about. You are committing the same sin as Satan continues to do.
OK, so just what was that "Water" Jesus gave the woman at the well,Hab 2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
BTW, that same "water" Jesus gave the woman at the well to drink, the "Knowledge of the Lord", is the "water" that will again cover the earth, but it's "Spiritual water" not literal water as in Noah's flood.

Joh 4:11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
You're as much in the dark as the woman.
Joh 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst;
Do you suppose that "WATER" could be the Gospel, the "Knowledge of the Lord".
Mt 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom,
1Ti 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the "truth".(Lord)
How full will the earth be of this "WATER", "Knowledge of the Lord" Jesus gave the woman at the well???
Isa 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
This same "spiritual water" Jesus gave the woman will cover the earth, just as Noah's flood covered the earth, one water is Literal, one is Spiritual, and you'll find that everything spiritual has a physical counterpart here in the world, even GOD. (Jesus)
"literary devices", are about as useful as bailing the oceans with a teaspoon.![]()
Do I expect you understand anything I've posted, No, it's not hard to tell who does/doesn't have a spiritual understanding of scriptures,
and your "Spiritual" understanding has lots of room for improvement.![]()
That's rich, coming from a person who believes that you can't understand scripture unless you add your own allegorical layer on top of it.Originally posted by Me4Him:
Let hear a little scripture interpretation/correction from ya'll, so far, all I've seen is "opinions", no scripture, no interpretations, no corrections.
Having God work in us and being conformed to the image of God does not mean there is no longer a distinction between God and us. These quotes do not mean that we as believers attain divinity or have a divine nature.Php 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
If I'm going to have the "mind of Christ", thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
