And when is the slaughter of the unborn child murder?

Kinda framing the question, aren't we ?
Life began around the time God created the heavens and the earth.
As to the second question, murder is committed by the taking of a life from conception onward.
I believe if you read the board rules this is a topic where differences of opinion are not allowed. Any opinion other than the accepted one results in the person being banned.
The official position of The Baptist Board is that life begins at conception. Opinions, stated as fact, that would contradict the board's position on this issue will be edited or deleted entirely

You are correct
Kinda obvious (to me) that life begins at conception.
When does the soul begin?
Rob
Good question but based on a passage of Scripture padredurand presented on another thread I would have to say at conception.
Psalms 139:13-16 NAS77
13 For Thou didst form my inward parts; Thou didst weave me in my mother's womb.
14 I will give thanks to Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Thy works, And my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from Thee, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth.
16 Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Thy book they were all written, The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.
Kinda obvious (to me) that life begins at conception.
When does the soul begin?
And how about identical twins who were a single human being for a time after conception?
I say sooner than that OR. Now I am sure somebody here will go all Herman Newtick on me but when I read verse 16 and that phrase "Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance...." followed by the script of life written before a single one of them was lived....
While I hold that biological life begins at conception the soul life, if you will allow it, I believe starts at the inception of God's plan.
I was born a year and five days after my brother who was supposed to be the last child. Mama and my Dad were getting a bit long in the tooth to be having babies in the house, let alone two, so they planned to stop at the next older brother. Mama said I came as a surprise. Not to God I didn't. He saw me before He knit me in my Mama's womb.
Perhaps a problem for us but don't believe that would be a problem for God!
Kinda obvious (to me) that life begins at conception.
When does the soul begin?

By themselves, neither goes any further than being a sperm or an egg.Is it that easy when we say "life begins" and not "human life."
Is the sperm alive?
Is the egg alive?
I'd like to state my opinion but am not able.
Enjoy your day.
