“From the Beginning” in Jewish thought, refers to Genesis.

As I have stated in numerous occasions, when you are presented with the Truth of scripture, in context, that demonstrates your error, you attempt to change the meanings of the words to fit your secular philosophy, or you ignore key passages (sanctified by God Holy Spirit) or you simply dismiss the passage out of hand.

There can never be a serious discussion with someone whose approach to scripture is so foundational flawed as to make reasoning impossible.

At any rate, please stop repeating the falsehood that “Calvinists” have never explain certain passages to you. All the passages you misinterpret to support your flawed secular philosophy have been explained, in context, with abundant proof to anyone not blinded by bias, on many, many occasions.

With that, I will leave you to your latest attempt to destroy the Truth of the doctrines of grace.

Peace to you
LOL, just read Luke 1:2, from the beginning refers to the things accomplished among us, those living in the 1 century. Or how about John 6:24 where Jesus knew "from the beginning" which of His disciples believed.

Pay no attention to this naysayer, who spends all his posts finding fault with others and adding nothing to the topic under discussion.

When were we chosen individually, if we were once not a people chosen for His possession. There will be no answer from the copy and paste posters. We had to be chosen after we existed as not a people.

Note the context of 2 Thessalonians 2:13, with people being chosen under the New Covenant, and accept scripture, we were individually chosen during our physical lifetime after our faith in Christ was credited by God as righteousness, thus we were chosen through or on the basis of faith in the truth. It is a lock.

Why do some posters, advocating Calvinism, charge me with rewriting scripture. It is an attempt at inoculation, where someone presenting falsehood charges those standing up for true with the same malfeasance as their own.

No one seeks after God becomes the Calvinist rewrite no one ever seeks after God. Romans 3:11 rewrite

Natural people cannot understand the things of the Spirit becomes the Calvinist rewrite, natural people cannot understand any of the things of the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 2:14 rewrite

God chooses individuals for salvation through faith in the truth becomes the Calvinist rewrite, God does not choose individuals for salvation through faith in the truth. 2 Thessalonians 2:13 rewrite

2 Thessalonians 2:13 says we were chosen through or on the basis of our "faith in the truth" thus we were chosen individually after our faith was credited by God as righteousness.

James 2:5 says we were chosen while poor according to the world, yet rich in faith and heirs to the kingdom promised to those who love God. Thus we were chosen individually after we were rich in faith, and after God determined we loved God. Thus during our lifetime after we received Christ.

John 1:12 says we were given to the right to become children of God after we believed, thus after we existed and were drawn by the Father. We had to have heard and learned from the Father, which only could occur during our physical lifetime.

Folks, the evidence is overwhelming, only those willing to rewrite scripture offer a denial.

Very clearly revealed from the text of scripture found in 2 Thessalonians. Your secular philosophy has blinded you to the truth.

Having eyes, you cannot see. Having ears, you cannot hear. Having a brain, you cannot think rationally. Everything is viewed through the lens of your man centered secular philosophy.

Always studying, never learning.

Peace to you

That you continue to deny clear scripture is shocking to say the least. You have built your theory on single out of context verses and deny any scripture that shows your view is wrong.

His grace is for all who will choose it, "whosoever will."

Man chooses his own destiny in this world.

There's something bad wrong with believing God has left man without that choice.

As I alluded to in another post, I think we are once again talking past each other.

Nobody is denying that man chooses his own destiny in this world, but unless one has been awakened by the Holy Spirit, they are going to always choose the things of the world. God simply allows those people to remain in the state that they chose for themselves.

All who choose it are those who have been given the gift of repentance and faith and are descriptive of “whosoever will.”

I can't talk about stuff like this after 1900 hrs. on Tuesdays.

I'm busy.
