When Will Obama's Wave Crash?

I just feel like the attitude of the OP was in anxious anticipation of the supposed "prophecies" of the waves crashing down on Obama; if people are truly looking for change, hope, and political cooperation we ought to be praying for and talking about the good things we want to happen no matter who is the president.
Again, you have hit the nail on the head. No matter who is President we should be praying for them. We should try to get involved and try to help push for the change we as Christians would like to see.

Instead, people are so content on ripping a person apart vers trying to work with them for a better world. God has shown more than once than he can use anyone for his purpose.

I posted the following information in another thread that Obama supporters have now vacated, and not answered me....

Will someone that supports Obama please tell me what kind of Kingdom he plans to Create?

He was speaking at a church recently, and made a comment about building a Kingdom here on Earth..

To me that sends up red flags... I will find the link and post it...
We have a nation... what kind of kingdom does he expect to build?

Here is the link... http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,300135,00.html

Now, if he loved America, why would he want to Create a Kingdom here on Earth... King Obama.... Hmmm.

Don't anyone else see little red flags in this....

There is only one Kingdom I am praying for, and Obama is not the one to usher it in.. but he is "asking a church audience in South Carolina to help him become “an instrument of God” and join him in creating “a Kingdom right here on Earth."

Here is where Ken jumped in and asked for context.. I gave the context to him here.. .and notice, the speech is from Obama's official website...

You can even hear his speech in this church from HIS Website...
http://my.barackobama.com/page/commu...ost/tneil/ChVr
Listen to it... He makes the remark at the very end of his speech...

And let me ask you why he uses the word "create"....

And if he can create a kingdom here on earth, what kingdom is he creating?

Why do you think he used this term?...

Here is some information from an Obama supporter..
here is something from a democrat on his "Kingdom on Earth" comment.... http://www.buzzflash.com/articles/contributors/1378

"Two things:

First, if you want to run this country, sir, you should accept that it was established as a representative republic, not a kingdom.

But of course you were talking about a Kingdom of God. That's almost as bad, sir. You see, as the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution explicitly states, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion." And, by extension, I think it's safe to assume that the founding fathers didn't think a presidential candidate should try to establish a religious Kingdom on Earth either.

The First Amendment goes on to say that there shall be no law "prohibiting the free exercise thereof" -- meaning of religion. In other words, here in the U.S., we must remain free to practice any religion we choose -- or none -- and not be coerced into the kind of state-mandated religion that our founders had fled from in England. In other words, non-Christian Americans shouldn't have to live in a Kingdom on Earth for Obama's selected deity (or anyone else's)."

If he was talking about advancing God's work, he should have acknowledged that it was God's kingdom... but NO.. . HE is creating a kingdom....

Now couple that with all other facts... and I have to ask, what is his real agenda?

Change you can believe in... But what will he change our country into, as it appears that both he and his wife has not been proud of it in the past?

Oh, and one more thing.. democrats were quick to jump on Huckabee for preaching in SC.. even though he is a preacher...
But here you have Obama actually candidating in SC... from a pulpit!!!

Strange huh?

Ken then says that he is talking about the Kingdom of God...
To which I respond:

Ok, but why use the word "create?" God creates, not Obama..
And why is he linking his creation of this kingdom with his presidency?

Now, Read the democrat's article I linked to above, and she has a great take on the seperation of church and state....

To me.. and this is the way I see it....

He is disatisfied with America... so he wants to recreate it into some type of Kingdom in which his version of church will reign.... Again, he uses the word, "kingdom" while alluding to his presidency....
Sorry, but that sends up red flags...

Now if a republican would say this... the media would be all over it.

This country is not a theocracy, with the president as the creator of God's kingdom... it is a constitutional republic...

One day, a theocracy will come...
Jesus will usher it in... and He will rule and reign.
From New Jerusalem...
Not Obama. And not from DC! (Can you imagine Jesus in DC!!!) lol

No one can explain why a presidential candidate wants to "create" a Kingdom...

Can someone on this thread?

Oh, and if he is elected I will pray for him... but this will be in my prayer...

This is my issue. It appears, at least at the moment, that Obama is the favorite...and you're comparing him to the devil???
Never said no such thing, just making a statement if someone was running who was pure old devil, I don't think we are supposed to support them. Please don't put words in my mouth.

How is this different than people thinking Bush was the messiah?

Linkie

You will find that all people have a following that goes beyond normal.. that doesn't change who Obama is, it's only a direct reflection of those people that think he is the messiah.

Jamie
You have no idea who Obama is, none whatsoever.

BBob,

You sure do know how to walk the fence in a tight line... Say just enough to lead people to believe you're saying something...and yet leave enough room to wiggle out of it when called on it...

FWIW I took it that you were comparing Obama to the devil also. Not something a Christian should do with another Christian. Next time, maybe you could try to be a little more specific if you don't want people to jump to the wrong conclusions.

After 2009, he can add the title of POTUS to his resume. That's an accomplishment in and of itself.

People are so willing to think Obama can't do anything just because he don't have a long list of what they would consider accomplishments. All one has to do is look at his website to see he has done a lot for himself and his family and in the short time as Senator he has done what he can. I believe he will prove alot of people wrong, he will help this country rebuid itself.

I would have much rather had Ron Paul in office, but given he won't win and of the choices.. I would much rather see Obama in office then the three running.

Also, we must always remember that God is in control. If he wins, then it's God's will. Nothing happens without God.

Jamie
So, you want to play a guessing game. GREAT!!!

I think, like most of us, that Barack is most likely the next President. But I sure won't bad mouth him because I didn't vote for him. I'll pray for him that good things happen to our country as a result of his presidency, just as I wished more good things would've happened under Bush's presidency (not saying that NOTHING good happened though).
According to your belief, if the other side did switch and put someone else in, then it would be God putting him in, is that right?

You should reconize it... It's the same game you've been playing for a while now.

Only you're guessing he is going to carry this country to hell in a handbasket. I would rather have a different outlook no matter who is in office. I have faith, trust and hope in my God. He is in control...

I am sorry Tim I don't have an answer for you.

Do I think he is pure evil? No. Will he be wrong at times? Yes. Will he be good for this country? Only time will tell.. given the choices we have between the three, I would rather have Obama than Hillary or McCain.

BBob,

Ummmmmm....if the other switched, putting someone else....?? Huh?

Look, I am in agreement with your earlier post about being informed voters. 100% agree. I think you're right.

I think that if someone who we dont' like is voted in, we should move on with the country's decision and work from there. Not sit back and try and predict their downfall. That is hardly coming together for the good of the country.

And your mind is open that he might be right in helping heal this country and put it back on track for the Great nation it once was?

Why do you find it so easy to belittle him? A fellow Christian.

Let me ask you two questions.

One, Do you believe that God helps elect our President?

Two, Is god in control of this world and everything that happens in it?

In a mess?

As far as I am concerned, we are in a BIG OLE PICKLE here! I am Democrat, but they have been going so far left wanting to have gay marriages, gays adopting children, abortions(even 8th month partial-birth), I find it hard to pull for either Hillary or Barack. The republicans have a little more moratlity(very little), but they will finish off what's left of our economy....what GWB didn't destroy himself. I just may stay out of this election, considering what little we will get in November....we just don't have much to choose from, IMHO. I may vote this november, but I doubt it.

Hey, I never even said I'm voting for him! But if he's put in office, I'm not going to prophesy how long it'll take for people to turn on him, or for his wave to come crashing down.

I'm going to pray for great things to happen. Why would anybody want any different?

The devil is loose in this world. I sure pray you don't elect the devil and pray for God to help him.

You make wild accusations because people want to know who they are putting in as president. You would rather we put our heads in the sand and follow the leader. No thanks,

Again, do you think the Christians were praying for those who crucified our Lord? They were in control and the leaders of that time.

Were you glad when Saddam was taken out of power??
