I too had training in the Navy (Gunner's Mate A School, Basic Electricity and Electronics School, Anti-submarine Rocket Launcher C School, ASROC Weapons Handling C School).

I received a B.A.in Biblical Studies, with a minor in Pastoral Ministries, from Columbia Bible College (now Columbia International University) in Columbia, South Carolina.

I received an M.Div. from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri.

Perhaps some of the best training I have had for the pastoral ministry has come from a hard life and having been mentored by a very capable and godly pastor while I attended seminary.
